That should be "special thanks to 383MAN, IQ52, and Supershafts for providing good positive info. Car is street driven regularly and runs the same times thru the pipes or with open headers.

Thank you for showing us that sweet 64 ! Ron

Nice ride splicer, congrats on getting her down to the 10.75 @ 126

Congrats!!! Keep tuning away! What was the corrected elevation for that run?

Will "6 Pack" pistons be able to get you there? I was able to get to 11.6 in my 71 Cuda; 3600 lbs with me; 3 inch TTI, 906 heads, 9.5 Dynamic converter; 4:30 8 3/4; .520 Racer Brown hydraulic STH-42; Street Dominator intake and an 850 DP..
I have done some experimenting just last week. I took off the 906's and took the chamber out of them. (.120 off total I think) they flow about 260-265; 8" 5k stall TCI; and a 320/.533 lift Mopar Purple Shaft..6 pack pistons (.060) undecked so they sit .020 under, and a cast crank since that was in a swapped shortblock in my 87 Dodge W150
I want to see if this will do anything..
usuall bad BIR air when I test

Can you tell us more about your 5000 converter?

69GTX,
It is a Dynamic 9 1/2"
Similar to Ron's i guess.
Drives real nice on the street,,feels like a 35/4000 at light throttle

Yea I run the same Dynamic 9.5 street/strip converter. Mine was built and rated at a 4200 flash and it drives so nice on the street as you dont even realalize you have a stall converter when driving around on the street but you know at the track when you nail it. I really like the 9.5 Dynamic converter I use as my son also uses one in his Dart. As Tex says they are really a nice street/strip converter. Ron

Little bit of an update........

10 days ago was running at Cayuga and had a fuel delivery problem with the car breaking up at 5800 in 3rd..
Took fuel system apart and found what looked to be an obstructed fuel filter.....
Put in a new/better filter and went to the track in St. Thomas last weekend hoping for a return to 10.70's....
Instead the car rewarded me with a 10.55 at 128.12 mph and 1.527 60 foot...Backed it up with a 10.57 at 128.92 MPH

WOOOHOOOO....thirsty old girl and air/fuel curve is all most a flat line...Gotta like it...

Nice to hear the girl was thirsty and liked the fuel !! When I hear this it really makes me want to bolt a dominator on my 63 and try one. Glad yours liked it and ran so good. Ron

Nice interior Tex ! I really like that factory wood grain type steering wheel as my buddy had one on his 68 Cuda Formula-S 383 car and I told him he was nuts to remove it and add an aftermarket wheel. I like many factory steering wheels and thats one of my favorite. Ron

Hey tex, very cool car, man. How'd ya get her so light? I'm working on a 69 belvedere that I'm slowly trying to get on a diet and honestly, I never thought 3660 with driver was a possibility without cutting it up.
