Progress report, Junkyard Dog

Wow Matt! I guess you must really like a challenge! I commend you. Sold a '64 Polara a couple of years ago because of the rust and it wasn't as bad as what your dealing with. Wow! Keep On Keeping On:wtg:

looks like you got a lot done.been wondering how you, donny, and propwash were doing on your projects. If i could i would lend a hand with all you guys when i'm driving truck thru your area.If nothing else just to stop by and cheer you on(but no pom-poms):rolling::rolling::rolling:

PM me if you are ever in the Detroit area, I'd love to have you stop by and hang for a while, there are always cold ones in the fridge!:beerchug: And please do leave the pom poms in the sleeper.:rolling:
Thanks Snakeoil, Donny and Khryslerkid for lookin' in on the "DOG".

I am excited for you, mine is beginning in about a week now,i am gonna have a ton of questions, cant wait to see the j dog back on her feet!!!

Cowl is in

but still need to finish welding all of the joints and then I'll grind them and do some touch up welding, then some more grinding. I'd say it's 80% welded now, enough theat I also removed all of the false work that I had holding the roof in place while the cowl was out. I'm Stoked and now I'm grilling up some ribs on the Weber and having a cold one.

Go back to page 3 to see the steel false work that holds the roof in place while the cowl section was out.

Have Weber, will travel!!:rolling: I would love to hang with you guys!!.

I can bring the Indiana corn on the cob and a couple cases of beer never hurt, although we may not want to touch a car after the beer is in the mix!!

i told my wife about the idea of us all getting together and she thought that was an excellent thought.Maybe we can have something like an end of the car show season party where we can all get together or something.

matt the a-pillars match the green cowl:grin:glad they worked for you ! keep up the good work!

Simple coincidence or the fact that 98% of the cars were dark green in `68 &`69:rolling::rolling:. Thanks again.
Got quite a bit done on it today, but mostly grinding down all the welds and going over it again in a few places. I did also weld the patch panel on the fender I have been working on and prepped the inner fenders for blasting and installation when I get back.
Those a-pillars were perfect, I feel so much better with the cowl back in.
Are you coming to the party?, Ben's bringing the beer!:grin:

Can I come to this Party? There would be nothing as good as if we all, all of us with the Frankenstein cars got together WITH our DRIVING cars that we are now working on; that would certainly be newsworthy!
