Progress.

I’m taking a break again. Goodnight y’all.

Away is one of the best indie cheap made games I’ve played. It’s about a sugar glider who restless journey to save his mother and sister from the clutches of a bird in a post apocalyptic world where humans went extinct in parts of the world.

Goodnight y’all I’m going to sleep and taking a break again and going for a few days instead of one day usually.

One more thing I got the bell housing casting number 513 especially for a big block 440 11 inch for 400 dollars for a e body.

I got my 4 barrel being returned and then I’m going to ship the other six packs in a few month to have restored.

I’ll post updates.. and finally the warming spring will bring big updates for thr 1970 challenger… I’m hibernating so as soon as it warms up everyone will see thr 1970 challenger updates.. goodnight y’all..

It'll need a wheelbarrow of cash to make it right.

There are some parts missing. I will list what I know. Going from the front back. There is no radiator, fan shroud, fan, carb linkage is missing, distributor, brake calipers, spare, gas tank and gas cap. The front right hood hinge is damaged on the underside. The interior looks complete, less the carpet.

The frame is weak on the left side towards the back. When I lifted the car up to remove the heads, ect. I saw the core support had rust too. If I was going to restore the car, I would get a new frame. I do not have the ability to look at the bird cage.

I cannot turn it over. It has surface rust in the cylinders. My friend is an engine machinist and he took a look at it. He said you cannot tell anything like it is. Pull it a part and either it cleans up, or you will need to sleeve it. His cost to me was $150/cylinder. Check with your guys. Mid west might be less than the east coast. Being an original block is huge and worth saving.

Update. I got the last rally wheel. I got the last piece I need for the 4 speed to bundle it with the e body bell housing.

the e body bell housing I got help from someone on for b bodies for 400 dollars.

so 23 spline a833 transmission 500,bell housing 400,adaptor 150,pistol grip 295, linkage 115, clutch assembly 180, e body tail shaft 275. I have my separate bundle a superbee full vin code hard to find case 250,and b body tail shaft 100.

that’s a real 70-71 bezel you can tell because of the holes for the resets are there-I just hope it’s a real molded code bezel and not drilled out.

I got all four rally wheels now 50 50 and 100 so I got all three to match the one I already had for around 200 dollars.

It’s best to bundle it with the super bee transmission and leave the 1967 with the 1967 440 with 915 heads and 67 date code manifolds.

Bent push rod at number 4. Oil looks new. It was recently pulled I’d say up to 3 years ago. So far we found out why it’s not running. I’m putting it on the stand and going to clean it up.

We are just going to replace the push rod and make it into a 2500 dollar running 440 is the hope so far.

I’m going to delve deeper into it to see if theirs anymore problems that I’m worried about like out of timing and spun bearings via cam shaft and crank.

got the rallye wheel and thermos to lose weight..

Don’t give up on me y’all I’m getting back out it’s a nice day today.

I’ll keep updates going.

I was wrong it’s been sitting up for along time but not under rain. Metal shavings-a possibility of a dud but we will see. Heads look good and oiled without built up sludge it looks. I’m going to get the filler gauge out and check the lifters maybe.

This we have had for along time this is a great power ratchet handles emense stress. We also have a crank bolt 1 inch drive snap on ratchet that’s ultra antique I wouldn’t sell it for 1000 dollars it’s been there through thick and thin. I want to send it off to a restoration shop- which reminds me someone needs to go into the tool restoration business.. I love antique tools.

this is what I use for the head bolts and other high psi torque bolts on engines and other stuff.

I’ll take a picture of thr snap on antique 1 inch drive we have it’s been heavily used especially when my dad was a forklift mechanic.

me amd dad are cheap scates usually but we find ourselves in need of American made stuff sometimes. This is one of the house hold merchandise under home owners insurance..

rememebr be sure to advise home owners of what you have in the house that’s valauble they will help you out if something happens.

They hate it when people hit em with a surprise claim.

Updates clean cylinder and I captured it rotating also. Good compression hard to turn over. The above picture of the snap on ratchet look at the orange light in the barn-that’s weird because light and shadow is positioned in a different area that violates normal physics I believe.

the sun was really shining only on the door unless the sun positioned itself differently during when I was inside it. And the light intensity is inside the shop in shadow that’s wrong in artistic drawing design.. the brightest area should be at the door rivhecheting off the door.

Looks like someone on the roof but it’s really a satellite lol still spooky. Here’s the really cool snap on 1 inch drive or 3/4 but i believe it’s 1 inch. This thing is a savior.

Updates. 906 heads. This motor is strange it’s early 70 heads, casted in 1970 January 23rd on the block. The punched area says g440 it should be f440… it’s like it sat for a year with no car and then they punched in g440 late 1971.

I didn’t use a filler gauge way to tight those valves are. I believe this engine is period correct for the challenger. I’m liking it even more. I got the other head off..

Now to put it on the 750 pound engine stand.
I wanted to take the heads and intake off so the weight won’t be as much on this cheap engine stand that I only trust with a complete 318.

See 1/23/1970.

I’ll get the head date codes soon.

Fresh antifreeze. No cracks so far. Standard bore all original pistons to rods to steel forged crank.

the steel forged crank was found in 1966-1971.

I believe in 1972 they started putting cast cranks in these motors but I’m a very forgettful person.

meatier swing arms and pressed casting. I will update later on.

we believe we are going to use this to build with six pack rods because the original pistons have heavy compression, ring gland isn’t even there so it wasn’t used hard. It did have a very bad oil leak so it was driven a lot.

so far so good..

Bosco getting some poon tang..

Got a engine test stand. Free shipping but I got fast shipping for only 30 dollars with shipping insurance.. y’all check this deal out at hone essentials. This 440 will have to be gone through because it’s got to much oil sludge and shrapnel so far.

We are going to a different machine shop outside of Tennessee that can get this stuff done in 2 weeks or so.

it doesn’t need boring I don’t believe because the 5 thousands clearance and pistons are firm and not loose.

I believe I got the mic off.

this motor has never been gone through like what my dad said. It has factory Mopar pistons we believe.

we are going to get the machine shop to hone this one and bore the 1967 and do the 915 heads.

someone on here told me to port the 915 heads so I’m going to have them turned into hp heads.

And of course no sand blasting on this one.

By the way I did clot up the oil pump holes before I sand blasted on that 1967. It will be cleaned up at the shop.

eBay six pack with a non original intake you can tell by it’s had CH on the intake right by the idle solenoid. That corvette wish I had the money I’d had bought that to add to my bundle system one day.

another six pack nos pack of non originals that sat for 30 years 1900 in bids.

Stamp date codes.. Weird heads not even close to matching. 906 1970 on the 69 day I believe. And 1971 of the 12 day. With a g440 block but stamped early 1970.

Talent agents if y’all are out there be sure to count this as 2 out of 3.. 1 I failed on the 361 but by looking amd analyzing the situation i investigated probable cause that I was looking for-not smart enough to analyze the outside of the block-it was rusted and rain was pouring on that motor on a consistent basis. Now I analyzed the situation and got a appropriate block-this one wasn’t by luck. The first 1967 was luck. The second 361 I was bound to run out of luck. The 1970 or 1971 I analyzed from the 361 and learned from a mistake by deep thought and worry of if I’ll have a bad block I won’t be able to get a refund from French auto parts store because I told them my next block but I should have said a block for the same price or around it that turns sour but anyways I might have failed and lost 900 dollars. I’d have to take pictures and show it to French lake auto parts store to know they know that’s my kindness has worn thin after that block was a mistake.. but I have a good block but i will always have that risk until I have a failure.
