My last summer fill (July 2024) was $1.499/gal. Probably a bit higher now, but I should be good till spring.
Yeah, I also dumped Ferrelgas many years ago. Lousy customer service even back then.that's the cheapest I've heard
Well one reason its a little cheaper is I get the "AG rate" (Farm rate). Usually 10 cents a gallon cheaper than the residential price.that's the cheapest I've heard
Is that LP or Fuel Oil? I've seen a couple posts here talking about fuel oil, not LP. Big difference in price and BTU's per gallon of fuel, that's why I ask.$3.23 per gallon in Savannah, Georgia. It's cheaper in most other parts of the state.
Sorry, LP.Is that LP or Fuel Oil? I've seen a couple posts here talking about fuel oil, not LP. Big difference in price and BTU's per gallon of fuel, that's why I ask.
No, I'm the one that is sorry. Sorry that you have to pay that much for LP down south. But, I suppose you don't have to burn as much of it to get through winter as I do up here in the northern states.Sorry, LP.
I've only been watching the LP price because I need to get whole house generator(s) GENERAC (?) for my home. Natural gas isn't an option where I live out in the sticks. I need a surplus diesel-powered generator. No, I'm the one that is sorry. Sorry that you have to pay that much for LP down south. I just hooked up a Generac 24Kw this past summer. Getting to old to man handle the portable gen set and run all those extension cords just to have PARTIAL power, then have to put it all away again when the main power comes back on. The Generac got its FIRST usage on December 31st, 2024 when power went out for half the day. I didn't have to do anything, stayed in the house and stayed WARM, all automatic now. Man was that NICE!!!I've only been watching the LP price because I need to get whole house generator(s) GENERAC (?) for my home. Natural gas isn't an option where I live out in the sticks. I can lose Georgia Power service for up to 3 weeks when a hurricane strikes the state. A direct strike in the Savannah area would be worse.
Winters are tame here...easy to stay warm. Summers are hot and humid...difficult to stay active and comfortable.

I am the "crafty" electrician. Retired electrical engineer/technician.If you have a crafty electrician you can backfeed a plug to your breaker box and plug a portable 10k tri fuel that will selectively run everything in your house. And if the generator breaks just plug in a new one. This can be done in your garage and the generator stored next to the plug. Just crack the door for exhaust venting. Don’t forget to shut off your main before starting or bad things happen when the power comes back on.
Famous last words!)
