Looking to buy a Punch/Flange tool for body panels. Any brands you guys recommend or recommend to stay away from? Thank for the input

Looking at the sunex from tool topia

Be sure you get one with a 5/16" punch, not 3/16". A lot of them are 3/16" and is a bit small for spot weld holes. With a sunex you'd want their 8MM punch/flange tool. I use an Ingersoll Rand gun and it works very well. Sunex, I haven't owned so I can't tell ya. Good luck

I wore out an astro pneumatics brand (I think that's what it was) and replaced with.... I can't remember, might be another astro, possibly Viking?

The head broke off my first one, it's got about a 1/2" shank that draws down the moving portion of the tool head and she's junk now.

The "new" one is a few years old and still kicking.

Old one might have gotten dropped or something.

Come to think of it, I may have ordered mine through Htpweld.com

I think they might all be made by the same company and simply rebranded, they all look the same.

Like Will said, go with the bigger punch size.

I have the sunnex unit. Purchased in 98 and still going strong. Good piece used in the collision industry a lot!!
