Need help on radiator hoses--never thought this could be this hard--got a 383 67 charger--lower hose is 1 3/4 at water pump and 1 1/2 at radiator---the upper is 1 1/2 on both ends and the radiator port is on drivers side of rad cap

So you have a small block radiator, but are running a big block engine. Did that for years with nothing but a smear of RTV and a good tight clamp. A big block rad has an 1 3/4 outlet on the lower spigot.

above sounds right and it is original set up to the car---my question is any idea on hose part numbers?????

For the upper hose I found that a upper hose from my 93 Dakota 3.9l with a couple pieces sliced off fit like a glove when I had an aluminium radiator in my Charger. That radiator had the inlet just on the driver's side of the fill cap opening.

For the lower I used a ring I'd cut off and put the 1-3/4" over it. Never leaked.

Continental has hose reducers just for that. they have several different sizes. I have a box out in the garage, could sell you one or I can get you the part number and you can buy 5 probably for the same price. They are a rubber sleeve with a lip on one end, just slide it in the hose and slide the hose on the outlet. I suppose it would be a good idea to use some kind of sealer or rubber cement or something. I haven't used one yet.

Or you can get one of these.
Looks and works great.

How is your relationship with the local NAPA?
Mine lets me go behind the counter into the inventory to find the part I need. I recently purchased ~$300 worth of radiator hoses to help find one that worked then returned the rest.

Ended up using the dakota pick up upper hose and original type lower hose--also found a reducer for lower hose--thanks for all the help---I cant tell you how many rads and vendors I searched and never came across the Auto City Classic radiator (at least at that price) at that price--it would have been perfect--

Make sure you write down the part number for yourself and the next poor bastard that may need to replace it.
