Reading plugs

What's you guys procedure on shutting the car down after the finish line so you can get a good read on the plugs? Trans is reverse pattern 727.

Can you go from 3rd to neutral? Turn engine off at WOT after the stripe.

No sir, reverse pattern. Not with out down shifting I can't.

Click the ignition off while at WOT,then put it "N" asap and you should be fine.

They make a transmission with a "clean neutral" and a PPG shifter to accomdate it.
The pattern is P R N 1 2 3 N
There is a second Neutral "after" high gear, so you can shift into neutral without going thru 2nd and 1st, which, of course, you cant do after going thru the traps.

I always wondered what "clean neutral" meant !
