Thing is, as i disassembled my engine i cut the distributor wires and put on a couple of (unshielded) crimp terminals just to remember the wiring. As I made my first attempt to start I simply connected my temporary crimp terminals. So they're fully exposed right next to the alternator. Could this be the issue?
