Remote oil filter question

I'm running a remote oil filter set up on my 496 stroker and I have discovered that the filter does not get hot or really even very warm to the touch after cruising around the neighborhood for thirty minutes or so. I know that oil is going through it and it is plumed correctly so wondering why it seem to run so cool. Anybody out there noticed this before with a remote setup?

It should be warm. Are you sure oil is running through it?
