The consoles originally fit like SH**......but I am not surprised about your fitment issues with repop ones

Yes they do, but I've been able to get lids to fit fairly well (on factory consoles) over the years by elongating the hinge holes and running a die (10-24 I think) on the studs to thread them and use real nuts.

Same exact die I used.. lol and running the lid across a belt sander on the end helps
