O.K. I draw the line there, that's hitting below the belt. I garentee I'd be the last person in the world that would vote for that worthless #$^&#@?. Hey, is that OR for Oregon cause last time I looked you guys were voting for him as well. I can say one thing, my county voted for Romney! I told everbody at work that they'd know Romney won if I wasn't at work the next day because I'd be hung over from the big party "looks like I'll have to wait another 4 years, shoot me now".

No matter who we vote for we have to be careful of thier agenda and past voting history on bills they sponsor. Our current president is a very "green", for stupid climate change. Heck mars is heating up too, maybe the aliens are driving thier muscle cars and SUV's too much. The enviro wackos, hate oil, coal any fossil fuel. If we are not careful, we could be "legislated off the road". with our beloved Mopars..... scary thought isn't it ???

benno440, Love to see it when it's done, sounds great. I'm also going with thoses same size wheels. The center console was made first out of 1/4 luan plywood (it's somewhat flexible, cheap and can be bought just about anywere) and wood then fiberglassed over. I started off with cutting cardboard patterns until I liked the fit then transfered that to the plywood for the sides, I used 1/2" 5 ply plywood for the inner cross sections that tie the sides together and give it it's shape. There is also some wood used to connect the top to the sides and so on. It's best to temporarly screw it together until your happy with it then use a pneumatic stapler and plenty of wood glue for final assembly. Fiberglassing it is simple but miserable, paint one area at a time with the resign, lay your fiberglass cloth on and work out the air. I put 3 layers on mine knocked off the high spots and finished it off with a coat of filler. You can't really tell by the pictures but it goes all the way to the firewall and fits up to the dash and is still lighter than the original. I'll post some pics of the underside as soon as I can. Hope this helps

dpstark2. Yes, finally found my book #4 cam bearing feads both sides, my book shows what looks like a hole going threw the cam "is it"? I wish it explained it but it sure looks like the hole aligns with one and then the other as it turns. Thanks guys I'll investigate if that's a hole or what it's depicting.

747mopar, I hear what you are saying. The people have spoken and voted, now it's up to Congress, the Senate and the House, to keep the checks and balances working that our founding fathers put into place to keep the President in line. Hopefully common sense will prevail and that our Constitution and rights are protected. Nice project by the way. Keep up the good work.

Finally found a good picture of the rocker oil feed. The oil passage comes into the bottom of #4 cam bearing from the crank, there are three holes altogether in the #4 cam bearing in a Y pattern the bottom being the oil feed and the others being the rocker feeds, now this is what surprised me the cam has a hole drilled threw it in a shape that aligns one passage at a time. Weird, thanks guys if you had not mentioned the cam bearing I may not have found this seeing how the oil system pics I have don't show this.

More Pics

DSCN5600.jpg DSCN7487.jpgDSCN7483.jpgDSCN7481.jpgDSCN7480.jpgDSCN6262.jpgDSCN6259.jpgDSCN5609.jpgDSCN5608.jpgDSCN5601.jpgDSCN7491.jpgbenno440, here is some pics of the inside of the console. Something else I forgot to tell you is that you can use blue foam to make molds as well, I used it to shape the rear of the console (just make sure you paint it with latex paint if using polyester resign or it will melt). I thought I'd add a few more pics while I was at it, to bad I haven't been able to find my pics of the car when there wasn't anything but the rear frame rails on the rear of the car. As you can see I'm just about done wiring the dash, next step instal dash and fire it up. The trans is a 727 which I rebuilt using a hughes rebuild kit, tci bolt in sprag and a tci converter. The radiator is a BeCool, it and the fan are summit scatch & dent items. My car should be a driving scratch & dent advertisement for them, it sure is nice living close to a summit. I never filled you in on the motor, it's a 400 block, 440 crank, home ported 452's with 2.14 1.81 ferra valves, comp 21-224-4 cam, comp cam magnum rockers, performer rpm intake, keith black hyp pistons, 9.8:1 and a 870 vac sec holley. I'm hoping for a reliable 500 hp. And yes I had the heads flowed after I got done, they are real close to the stealth heads in flow.

Sorry but the hood scoop does look like a 69 Ford Torino and the dash looks a late 70's Grand Prix ...

I'm diggin the dash stuff, jury still out on the hood but I will wait until you are done otherwise how can you know if you don't like it? lol bunch of haters lmao

Thanks for waiting bigman, I have some cool pics drawn up that will give the scoop a mopar look and keep it looking right "to me" on the car. The dash looks like what 68383GTS? Sorry you don't like it but rest assured that is the factory dash with alot of new sheatmetal "no foreign parts or copying hear". I'm not tooting my own horn but I am very happy with the way the dash turned out, the scoop on the other hand I'll admit neads some tweaking.

pont.jpgpont.jpgLooks like you are doing a nice job just not my taste.I always thought the should have off somekind of bulge or scooped hood on the 68-70 Charger.

Thanks, I know there are alot of people who like things the way they are supposed to be, I'm just not one of them. On the other hand, I'm leaving the majority of the car alone "why" because chargers are awsome cars just the way they are minus the ugly dinky wheels and the horrible looking dash. Sorry, I know somebody will not like that comment but seriously it looks like they couldn't figure out what to do so they just put padding everywhere. By the way that dash looks nothing like mine except it has wood on it. That's a nice looking gts.

Nice work. It will be sharp when finished. But it does look like a Pontiac Grand Prix. My uncle had a '69 with a 454 4-barrel. Was nice car..though....

Dude you are doing way more work than I ever could take on more power to ya ;) keep up the pics I love the story you got.

Whatever weed you guys are smoking that makes you think Pontiac Grand Prix, I'd like some please.:headbang: Thank you.

X 2 Looking good so far, i myself cant wait to see it completed.. Just cant go by a project until its final, the way you make the hood sound, im thinking it will look good.

It's pretty good stuff ! LOL.....seriously it's just the dash that reminds me of a Pontiac, I drove one in the late '70's, Grand Prix, model J, the rest screams Mopar.
