I need to spend more time with my 68 gtx, your work looks great and I am jealous that youre that far ahead of me
Thanks jetmech, jet mechanic? "Jealous" please don't be, I've had this car 10 yrs and only started "really" working on it two years ago. It wouldn't surprise me if you still beat me done. "GTX" awesome car.I need to spend more time with my 68 gtx, your work looks great and I am jealous that youre that far ahead of me
You don't have to break in roller cams but do have to break in any flat tappet.didnt you put a solid cam in? in that case i thought you dont need to run sold cams in, am i wrong
Thanks Ron, yes I will get a video but still have to figure out how to download it (I already made one but couldn't figure it out).Good luck breaking the cam in, sounds like things are finally looking up which is a good thing! and Good luck on the carb tuning, do i hear a video in the near future! Cedar point sounds like it was a fun deal, ive never been there, went once to the Sea world i think is over your way but that was a longgg time ago. Enjoy your engine music tomorrow!
"Rubberizing the floor" LOL, your right about the favorite mechanical toy "it's been ten years since I sold my last hot rod" it's been so long that I actually thought something was wrong with my tranny for a second and then I thought "I remember that feeling, it's the stall converter". Thanks RonRubberizing the shop floor huh! lol.. Good to see and hear its coming along, those little gremlins you'll fix up in no time! Nothing like a good day especially with your favorite mechanical toy! ;) Sure looks cool back in there. Nice stance..
Boy ain't that the truth especially when it's lighting them up everytime you blip the throttle, this has put a lot of fuel on the fire for sure. Thanks Big Block 61That's a great feeling when it moves under it's own power. Congrats on this milestone.
I'm sorry if it seamed like I was throwing a pitty party "not my intentions" just thought maybe you guys could get some humor out my misfortunes. I think your right about the longer strips seeing how those are from just poking the peddle but then again the tires are crap. Thanks SpeedyWow that's awesome man, congratulations! Glad things are turning around for ya, I'm sure you'll be laying considerably longer strips of rubber soon

Thanks, appreciate all of you guys compliments "encouragement is a useful tool". I will post a video as soon as I finish the tips so it will be complete, funny how I was concerned about getting it quiet enough but was slightly disappointed when I pulled it outside for the first time and it was actually not very loud at all. My wife was at the garage last night (rare) and after hearing it run she asked me how much I needed for the wheels, don't know where she was going with it but she did see her new (totaled) Cruze sitting there all straightened out, maybe she's feeling generous? She refers to the Charger as the other girl, I just call her (Charger) sexy.I am impressed with all the attention to detal you're putting in your car. Definitely got some cool points with the mufflers. I can't wait to hear the sound clip.
I know the feeling about the wife, my GF hates my car also. I think they feel threatened.
Thanks CDRgreat news

LOL, I call her (wife) sexy all the time "somehow that means I want some and not a compliment" can't win either way. No, honestly she's a pretty great mother and wife just a very different way of thinking "that's all".She's feeling generous, order them now...LOL...
maybe just call her sexy other girl !!
