Thanks to all who gave me advise adjusting my ride height. My charger is presently put up untill the budge allows for further work after breaking an exhaust manifold. A friend let me use his manifold while his engine is being rebuilt to finish testing ride hieght issues.
I have done everything to get my suspension to full drop to index the torsion bars, including removing the bump stops. the height of the top of the fender opening is remaining at 25 inches after driving. There is no adjustability left on the drivers side bolt and a little less then 3/4" on the passenger side bolt. the car used to sit at 26" from the ground to the center of the wheel opening, I would like to get it to 25 3/4". This would give me the stance I want for the car. I have a set of good trosion bars, all new bushing and ball joints. Shocks are old but have no extra bounce in them and no leaks so they are good. The charger has a disc brake conversion single piston caliper style taken from a 78 volare, the ride hight was still good after the conversion. I am wonder if there is anything i can try to get adjustability to raise the front of the car? I can still raise the passenger side but the driver side is at its limit.
I am not sure if I need to get brand new bars, or if i should disconnect the upper control arm to drop the lower suspension further and then reinstall the bar and see what happens. Or if new shocks would raise it up the 3/4" that I need. (new bars are out of the queston right now) but if that needs to happen will give my friend back his exhaust manifold and repair the suspension after I can get the manifold I need.
You guys have provied great advise in the past so any help is greatly appreciated.
