Save me from spending $$$ on a Sure Grip rebuild.

Ahh I see. I can do. I was going to do that tomorrow. Will update with pics and let you guys tell me what to look for.

Update: As some of you know from another thread, the wife was adamant about a burnout the other day. Let's just say the burnout was awesome and well worth the trouble. :D Turns out, the burnout might have fixed my chatter issue! I just drove it around diagnosing my other problem and noticed that I didn't notice the chatter anymore. If this hold true then this will be the single best burnout of my life!

Cool.....does it still spin both wheels when you nail the throttle? You might also drain the gear oil one more time and look it over real good.

I'd pour some in a cup and use a coffee filter or something to see if there is metal in it. Just a thought

Haven't had the guts to do it again. I guess it is a valid test. I can hear a little wheel slip when I take corners, but nothing like the actual chatter I had before.

Good idea. I think I might pull the entire thing out anyway and look it over for obvious signs of something.

Update two. Something in the rear end started "chunking" when I turned left. Decided to bite the bullet and get it fixed. Removed the axles and diff, took them up to Randys Ring and Pinion. I thought the axles looked good but they immediately noticed that the teeth were twisted.

We will see what else they call me with next week.
