I agree with Blumofo, buy a different hood so that you will always have the original!
your car looks great as is but you might consider 2 hoods also ZmanNO Scoop
OK, it's been a long time comin, but have the '62 Plymouth done, with the max wedge scoop on it. If you want to see what it looks like , just go to You Tube.com, or google, and type in this exact heading----62 Plymouth max-wedge, (dont forget the dash between words) and there's a video of us loading the car up to go to the Nats race track. Thanks guys for all the input, and I got hundreds of compliments on the max wedge scoop. Thanks again.......
Thank you Hemifried for posting the video link for me, and for the compliments......Congrats on the gorgeous car Cuda!! Love that you went with the scoop! Car sounds awesome to! :headbang:

holy crap, man, that car looks bad *** !!!!
Get an fiberglass bolt on hood and put the scoop on it.. Then switch them out whenever...
I think the motor will run better with the scoop. Looks good either way. If you really wanted a sleeper you should have started with this. [email protected]

Wow, that's quite a feat (9.88) with what appears to be 6" wide rims and tires, or did you have something else on it at the time? But I really wasn't looking for a "sleeper" look, just wondered what everyone else thought about putting the scoop on a car that the factory didn't. But glad I did now, and I do have a factory hood hanging in garage, in case I ever change my mind, but don't think that will happen.now thats a sleeper!coulda won some big money with that ride back in the day.
They were 7" rims. It did go 9.96 with those. We have since put 10" rims (same old 275 M/T) on it as we're approaching 140mph. There's way more left in it. The stock block and stock cast crank is why we haven't turned it up.Wow, that's quite a feat (9.88) with what appears to be 6" wide rims and tires, or did you have something else on it at the time? Hey Ron, That looks like a Sled City Scoop. Lucky you , and everyone likes it too!Actually the scoop was given to me and I bought the hood used for $100. dollars. So I dont know what brand either is. Like I said I paid $100. for the hood and then payed the painter and body man $250 to prep and paint them. So I have a total of $350. in all of it. I like them as its holding up great. Ron
