Scotch whiskey: Do you imbibe?

Never could drink whiskey, bourbon or scotch. 3 or 4 oz's and I'd be making pies. Vodka that was my weakness sometimes cactus juice.

Ahh...Dadsbee, that is some fine Scotch Whisky ! My son and I toured the distilleries in Scotland in 2012. My wife, daughter, and I hit a couple in 2018. My daughter had just finished her term at Oxford. We spent 3 weeks in Scotland and the UK. They...as was myself, very taken with Edradour. It was my second time there. Aberlour is always wonderful, but Balvenie is just great whisky !

They have real rye whiskey down in the USA, it has to have over 51% to be called rye while Canadian rye whisky can have as little as 10% rye in the grain mix. Of course there are some good exceptions, such as Canadian Club 100% Rye.

Every year I am fortunate to observe an annual tradition of driving my GTX to the Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, and sharing the weekend with a group of close friends, including the guy who sold me Baby Blue 37 years ago. He drives his old ride to the show field on Saturday morning. That night, we relive the car's place in our past lives, while savoring a bottle of Ardbeg. Doesn't get much better than that...

Ohh, Glenmorangie 18 !!! One of my favorites !! Fell in love with it at first taste at their distillery in Tain. It was one of the generous samples I got to enjoy. Tain is actually a fun town. I was there for 3 days back in 2012.
