I have been through the Glengoyne distillery in outer Glasgow. A great tour with a healthy wee dram afterwards.I belong to a whiskey tasting club. We meet once a month, pay dues , and taste some top shelf stuff. We have been on a Glen roll lately it seems. I am not a fan of the bold peated spirits but it's fun to try ones I would never buy myself.

There are many Scottish distilleries with "Glen" preceeding. Glen means valley or ravine in Scottish and where there is a valley, there is a stream to provide the distillery with water. There are a bunch of scotch brands that have glen in the name that are not peated.
