I bought a 77 Monaco 2 years ago with the 360 with a 727 trans. Only 53,000 miles so has been stored a lot . it seems when not used for a while the tranny is very sluggish to engage. After warm up not so bad. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions. If maybe just a new filter and fluid change would be good of if likely something more serious.

just my 2 cents,,it could be from sitting a while and if it is warmed up it shifts good, thats a good sign, check fluid levels and warm her up.because mopars are cold blooded.i hope this helps.

Torque converter leak-down.
Not to worry, some do this, some don't.
Probably won't get worse.
If it bothers you, put it in Neutral for 5 seconds before engaging into gear.
Torque converter does not normally fill in Park, which is why dipstick says to check while hot, idling in neutral.
