So what would you do?

Godspeed to your friend. I think that what you guys are doing is very classy. It will be a great memory for him and his family, but also for you. May your good deeds be returned 1000X.

God speed to all of you! That cancer $h*t has no mercy...it took out my dad two years ago this month.

Tell your friend I wish him all the best and I wish that I could join you to see this through. It's a very noble thing that you are all doing that is tough to put into words.

All my best to all of you.

PS...if you can spare the time post up some pics !

So, where are the pix, and the event narrative? How did it go? Everybody wanton to hear about it!

My friend on another MOPAR Forum is literally dying (cancer). His doc says 2 months. (??) He was is in the process of building a MOPAR. He's been a part of the forum for a long time. His cars been painted but its still on the rotisserie. Motor is just about done, trans should be ready by Thursday. Brakes and suspension for the front lay in waiting. He's a few hundred miles away, a great guy, and one who is holding up quite frankly better than most from what I can tell. So the collective (wisdom??) has decided to step in. Select members of the forum are converging on his garage this weekend. We are building a MOPAR. We have members coming in from all over including Canada. So whats the gig? If you got a moment for a kind thought, a prayer, send a little energy, what ever you got. It be appreciated! Our goal is to get him in his car before his time comes. I talked with him tonight, he's tired I could tell. But the flame still burns, he needs some help to keep it going. Don't do it for me , do it for him , and his family. So he can have at least one big smoky burnout!!

This is one of the kindest things ive heard in so long, i actually had to read it twice to let it sink in, Godbless you and all who will manufacturer this deed that noone will ever forget! Send me his address if you would, i don't have much but i want to help out if its only gas to make the dream run for him!

Ok guys long story condensed version. My buddy passed early early Saturday morning. The party went on anyway. His wife and kids were very strong. The funeral is tomorrow. There is more building of the car that needs to be done as we didn't have / could not find certain parts. Or maybe they weren't purchased yet. Many would like to see the car @ Carlisle this year. I cant say that will happen but it be very cool.
Here's a link if you want to see some pics of the build.

I'll say it again your a Really Good Noble Man & a Great friend...
RIP Andy, your car looks great

Sorry to hear about your friend. Hopefully you guys can get it done in his memory. My hat is off to you fine folks.

Sorry to hear your friend has past. He knew who ever was there that they were there for him.

I have a rare good idea. When his family has had a grieving period, finish it up. As far as I'm concerned, I'm in for $20 for beer since I can't get there. Anybody else ?

What you are dooing is Great God Bless you and all involved. My thoughts and prayers are with the family hopefully the family can keep the car in his memory and get many years of enjoyment out of it. Please keep us posted.

Looks like you got a lot done in short order. God bless you and your crew for making it happen. And god bless your friend, may he rest in peace.

The funeral was today. I was not in attendance but his son Doug with a little help got the car as a roller and it was at the service

Man, I was smiling until I saw the "Last Wish 'Cuda" deal. Kinda gets you. I repeat & raise my offer; if you get the guys together to finish the fish, I'm in for $50 gas or beer money.
