Go to Consumer Cellular, far better company to deal with
you can keep your old #s if you want too
$24 a month or IIRC $35 all loaded up,
no contract, same exact service as all the big guys, same towers etc.
except you can always talk with a human on the customer service side
after the BS atypical prompts, press #0, get an agent...
I've been with them for going on near 20 years now,
(works places my AT&T never did, that's another story)
& my 86 y/o dad has been on it since 2005-2007-ish somewhere in there...
My dad is horrible with his phones, forgetful or needy !!
(not any dementia, he just doesn't pay attention, or write the codes or pin # down)
He asks a shitload of questions on how to do everything,
really forgetful, or more like helpless, he can't access his voicemail etc.
you name it & I quit trying to tell him...
I just let him do it, easier on our relationship that way
they/Consumer Cellular, account lady on the phone, always gets him thru it too,
even all the dumb **** he asks, over & over again...
WORKING Nationwide cell service, even here in the sticks...
I now hate cell phones, with a passion & since retiring !!
I don't/won't rarely ever even turn mine on...
Only when I travel or want to call someone, while on the road
& that's not very often any longer...
(more reason to get a cheaper service, that actually works, up here in the sticks)
Neither does my dad, only when he wants to use it
rarely answers it ever...
My older sister, a politician in Redbluff
'had T-Mobile' and claimed it sucks donkey ***...
(she is one, so she'd know )
She went to Consumer Cellular too, the loaded $35 a month plan IIRC,
far easier to get her on the road & far less dropouts or telling her to speak up ...
Good luck
