The Elephant In The Room: unloading the load from a B-body.

They are Bogart "Steely Dan's" wheels. They come in three sizes in the 15" line. 15" X 4" 15" X 8" and 15" X 10"
The 15" X 4" are $600 a wheel. Pricey but very nice and lighter than steel wheels.
After looking at my records, I am correcting this. Here they are ready for final balancing and welding. The "Steely Dan's" 15" X 4" weighed 17 lbs each. My Centerlines 15" X 3.5" weighed 11-3/4 lbs each. My actual steel wheels 15" X 4" weighed 38 Lbs each.
So after doing the math and installing the Steely Dan's over the real steel wheels, I shaved off 42 Lbs for the pair.

Here's an example with a hubcap mounted. You can get then in either satin finish or powder coated epoxy gloss glass black.

How much does the bumper and bracket (total) assembly weigh? Aluminum bolts must be stronger than I thought.
 
Also, have any of you guys ever found aluminum wheel cylinders for the rear drum brakes? I found some that I may be able to modify, but it would be MUCH easier if I could find something to just bolt in. There is about a one pound difference between a cast iron wheel cylinder and a 'similar' sized aluminum one. I say 'similar' as I haven't found any that would just bolt in (re: 65 Belvedere).

( according to my cheapo Amazon scale). I'm most likely going to run 15x10 Center Line Auto Drags on the rear, anyone know what those would weigh in at?

Yep, supertrick skinnies are ridiculously light.... but not real durable for street use. I got 8.5 lbs when I weighed mine.
I can't answer for the 15x10 auto drags, I think they are literally the only 15" centerline i have never had. My 15x10.5s are two hundred miles away (15x7 front, 15x14 rear half), but if I had to guess, I'd say a little under 20 lbs, quite a bit lighter than the 15x8.5 ansens I have (22lbs)and the one piece 15x10 tts (25lbs). My 15x8.5 200s (daisies) are 19.5 lbs.

The Super Tricks and rear Centerlines would only see track duty a couple of times a year, I would be scared to run the front S.T.'s on the street after getting my hands on a pair and seeing just how thin/ light weight they really are. I planned on trying to find 15x10 w/ 3.5" B.S. Super Tricks but they are all going for crazy stupid money when found. I just scored a set of rear Centerlines that i was able to buy for $200 bucks. I don't have them in my possession yet so the actual weight is still a unknown.
 
If I painted these the would look stock. Front and rear brackets weight 2 1/2 lbs for all. Been supporting factory bumpers for 10 years.

That front bumper (AMD) is just over a half pound lighter than the original Chrysler one. The bolts are T-2024 aluminum and holding that bumper and a few others fairly well.

Yes, the reason the Steely D's weigh 17 lbs each is their beefy billet construction and welding to enable them to survive the stress of the streets. They're still lighter than the real steel ones but with the benefits of looking like the real steel ones. They told me that they make a race weight version that is much lighter, but not for the street.
Super Tricks are not for the street. The Centerline rears (attached below) are Centerline Auto Drags.

The Super Tricks are probably priceless now NOT because of their weightlessness, but because of their nostalgic status amongst the nostalgia Pro-Stock crowd.

Speaking of wheels let me ask does anyone know the real scoop on running drag radials with Center Line auto drags?. I know they are stamped "For bias tires only" or something like that. I've heard stories of people contacting Center Line and them saying that it is ok to use radials?.

Centerline tool is long gone. Anything I heard from the current "centerline" maker, I would take with a grain of salt.
However, I would have no qualms about running a drag radial on an Autodrag, but that is just me, not an endorsement.
I have heard to not use rim screws on radials. I read somewhere why, but don't remember.....
 
I've heard the same about the rim screws. I used them on my Torq-Thrust when my car had bias cheater slicks but I switched over to drag radials. I'm cheap and didn't feel like buying new wheels so i carefully cut the backs of the screws off with a whiz wheel, no leaks, seems fine.

While the wheels are turning on the subject of wheels, here's a little subtraction of weight on the rotating end of things with an aluminum hub assembly. T-7075 material. I'm not next to the numbers at the moment, but the weight reduction wasn't that much, perhaps a pound or two.
