Cars are looken' great, your Javy is looken' great, in such a short period of time, you must still not be doing the Union Carpentry employment/work lately, getting so much done, your kind of making me feel guilty, I'm procrastinating on my RR & Dakota so much... Not really...LOL...., but cool shots thanks for sharing them... I'm glad you have had good luck with E-Scam/Bay, I've been screwed too many times now, never whats actually advertised & over priced rusty garbage, even with people that have a good rating/feedback, I'm really fed up with it myself, I won't buy there any more, at least for now, I haven't for a couple years now, I'll find stuff elsewhere, oh well... such is life... but you keep up the good work, keep supporting the economy.... keep your nose clean, no more vacations for a while
Nice find. The car brings back memories of when I started work at AMC in 1971. We had an AMX 401 4 speed lab car That was really fun to drive. The 304 is a good motor.
Plenty of 304's were built by the guys running them in the jeep CJ's. Yeah a 390 or 401 would be better but those are hard to find. There should be performance parts for the 304 out there. One of my friends was the engine builder at AMC for the dyno room he has done many engines and he should be able to hook you up with parts or know a source for them and also advice on what to do with your build.yeah stuie...i THINK the 69 camaros( vomit) used that or something like it....but im not 100% positive. the SST handles were a wood grain plastic and thats what i broke trying to get it off....and couldnt find another wood grain handle...so black will have to do. they are repro-ing alot of stuff for these cars.....but nuthin like the repro market for the Mopars...and the AMC stuff is ALOT more expensive and hard to locate. the dash i got for 69 buxx...but once i got mine out, i found that i only needed the clear plastic, but the dash i got has 12000 on the clock , and mine had 43000( original miles) on the clock. heres a pic of the dash i took out...the innerds were fine but the clear was destroyed from the sun. also a pic of the 72 tail lights also sun faded.View attachment 92348View attachment 92349View attachment 92350

YOURE THE MAN I NEED TO TALK TO... the 304 has a ford 2 barrel on it. i have been told the 304 aint worth building...but what i want to do is...cam it...and put the brandy new eddy 750 i have here on it. all ill need is a 4 bbl intake and a cam and lifters and valve train. what is your opinion on building this 304 that only has 8.5 compression...and i THINK 220 horses ???
Dawg, I hope when you got the Pennsylvania plates you were able to save the black California ones. I think it had the black plates didnt it? Anyway, those plates are highly desirable and will attract a future buyer if you ever decide to sell the car. It lets people know that its an original California rust free car. DMV always tries to take them away over here when we re register but I was able to keep the black plates on my Satellite.
