Well i'm still doing this. Right now i'm even using a CRT to write this post.

Just that i got mine for 400 bucks a couple months ago and this guy is probably smoking crack. (Mines not "NOS" but still...)
If you got one lying around you can still use it with a modern computer using one of those (sold under a couple different brands/names): Delock Products 87685 Delock DisplayPort 1.2 Splitter 1 x mini DisplayPort in > 1 x DisplayPort + 1 x HDMI + 1 x VGA out
Not that i would really recommend it in most cases, though.
