The Roach

It is great having less clutter in the engine bay....

There is, but there would be interference with the header and steering shaft.
It's a tricky balance. My engine is a 5.7 for a Chrysler 300, exshaust manifolds are from a truck and the starter moved to the other side. The steering box removed to make room and a rack and pinion unit used instead. Close upfront and more room in the back. We do what we have to do.

Looking good RC

lots of room it looks like to me

keep it up

Looks great! Curious what you're doing for wiring the engine - did it come as a "kit" with the engine? Or are you sourcing it elsewhere? I have my '72 Satellite wagon sitting next to my '05 5.7 Hemi, and eventually I'll mate the two of them...but the parts accumulation process, and the which-harness-setup-to-use debate, have me moving at a snail's pace on it. (and I like playing with my running/driving '70 Charger).

Reading back through the thread...did those wheelcovers ever find (or need) a new home? In my mind, spare parts is good parts!

The kit came with the MP wiring harness Other than opening the box and looking at it. I haven’t done anything with it.

The wheel covers went in the trash since no one wanted them.

Fitted the new AC/heater box today inside the car and marked holes to drill for the hoses. Hoping a friend can come through with a couple metal hole saws so I don’t have to buy them.

After that, all my work on on the body stops until it comes time to strip the paint. Got to talk to the body man at the end of the month to see what his schedule is like.

Did you test fit the wiper motor? I may have missed that part
