My body man suggested a change of color for the car …..

Uhhhh, no.

I don’t suspect that you’re considering this, but…..

I have to give Mark the benefit of the doubt on this after the way he was sniffing the seat in his Viper after Pam got out of the car! Lol

You guys crack me up. You do realize that both purple and pink are girly colors, right?
Sorry RC, just couldn't resist.
Honestly, I do agree that pink doesn't look grand on a B body. But when I was a youngster, a guy nearby had a 70 Cuda in pink that was kinda sharp looking.

You must be harassing him to much, why don’t you asked the better half.Back in the day it was ladies who would select the colours for manufactures .

My 5-year old granddaughter is the only person who thinks it should be painted pink. I won't be taking her advice.

Some progress pictures I got today.

All of the trunk pieces are welded in .....

150+ welds on the roof skin are done.

All of the lead seams have been ground out. The lead was lumpy on the left side where the A-pillar meets the cowl suggesting that something was going on underneath. A small rust hole was discovered where the quarter meets the rocker on the right side. All of the seams will be re-leaded by someone he knows. He also has welded in the holes for the old rocker moldings.

That a pillar n cowl area is always a nasty spot, nice work . You must be getting excited. Do your morning workouts, your turn is coming once you start to put it all together

Leading seams was an art. I've made dozens of wooden applicators for operators to smooth the joint out once it was filled with the melted lead. They made 20 cents an hour more than your conventional line worker.
Looks very nice, can't wait!!

Statutory Grape sounds better than Plum Crazy
(fiction) they almost named it that

My body man certainly is talented and knows, from experience, where to look for where the problem areas are. I'm going to request to be present when the lead guy comes in, just to see how that's done.
