Hey guys,

I just finished fixing a overheating issues on my 66 Belvedere. How many of you use or have used the MotoRad Fail-Safe thermostats? Now that my engine runs at a constant temp, I'm thinking about going from 195* standard to 180* fail-safe. Have you guys had good/bad luck with these?

Never had a problem with a 180 Superstat from Napa. Handle and examine it next to others and you can feel and see the quality.

X2 Also, you can buy Stant Super Stats at other suppliers as well. eg.Carquest,Federated,ORielly's, Advance, Auto Zone.etc.

I also like to test whatever one I use before installing it.....

I too always perform a "TEST" as Cranky stated.....

Why?
Years ago, right out of the box, I installed a faulty T-stat.
(YEARS AGO)

I was a dumb kid, and argued to my Bud's dad that it couldnt be the T-stat "cuz I just put a new one in"

LOL
It was bad.

I'll have to try this. Thanks!

Looks like I'll give a SuperStat a try. I was curious if anybody ran fail safe thermo's, but sound like the Stants are reliable. Living in AZ, I don't want to take a chance with a new motor.
