I know how popular the topic of taxes is on this sight. But....every time you go to the pump and fill up your gas powered car, a portion of those dollars are tax dollars used for infrastructure by the gov't to build/maintain roads. Currently, drivers of EV's aren't paying their fair share to drive on the roads maintained through gas tax funds. If/when the fleet of cars transitions to electric, what new source of revenue will we be hit with to maintain the roads?

If the criminal Politicians actually left the gas tax alone for the purposes you state, our roads would be the best in the country. Its as if they are pushing us toward European level gas tax rates here without the road quality to match. They funnel the gas taxes into the GENERAL fund to pay for every vote grabbing act that they can think of...sanctuary city policies, Immigrant legal defense fund, funding their own office staffs, etc...

WE are NOT running out of oil. Its as if as much is being found as we are using. Imagine a beer mug that refills before you ever get to the bottom. It is very much like that.

If the criminal Politicians actually left the gas tax alone for the purposes you state, our roads would be the best in the country. Its as if they are pushing us toward European level gas tax rates here without the road quality to match. They funnel the gas taxes into the GENERAL fund to pay for every vote grabbing act that they can think of...sanctuary city policies, Immigrant legal defense fund, funding their own office staffs, etc...

We are really not as stupid as some states. Hell we even operate on a balance budget. The state can not spend beyond its means. An aspect some don't like but it prevents the **** you go threw.

But THIS time they promised they wouldn't do that no more, and if they didn't get to keep that money, then all the bridges (you know, the ones they have neglected for 50 years!) will fall down, and the F-ING IDIOT voters in this state believed them! Within weeks , our buttf#¿k of a governor proudly announced he was stealing our money again for his bumf#《k Egypt-to- nowhere train.
This state is hopeless and helpless.

Well, per THEIR own regulations, No Oil, No Coal, No Gas.... How do they plan to produce all the Electricity? DOH!!! what if its a stormy winter in Calif. with no sun? I understand that we can make hydroelectricity but we can only make so much of that.

That's ok until you can't find gas that they will run on at an affordable price. It may not happen in my lifetime. I'm 68 but it will happen with commuter cars in the cities and spread slowly outward. Technology changes every day and batteries will get better. The only problem is that any savings you might see from an electric car will be lost when you have to replace batteries and related components. They aren't ever going to let us get ahead. I have always said that if they made a car that would run on water the government would make us buy a special colored water at the same price as gas. Much like Red farm fuel and heating oil. They got us by the short hairs and they aint letting go

I don't think I've ever seen a coal fired power plant. There aren't any at all in my province.

Coal fired power plants are shutting down all over the Eastern part of the U.S. Two have shut down here in the Ohio Valley in the last 2 years. Where is the power going to come from that those plants provided ?? I have't a clue. Truth is the Climate Change people don't care what we think and we ARE a minority !!

when gas is no longer available get get a horse and pull it around. There is always methane and not that hard to adapt.

Just to be clear, the people complaining about the pipeline aren't protesting something new. The Trans Mountain Pipeline has already been in operation since 1953. They're complaining not about putting in something that isn't already there, but about expanding its capacity. Games indeed!

Yep, this topic is more related than we think. The world has been in a higher gear pertaining to these games and shifts more than we maybe admit or realize. Russia is in the act of conquering and stealing a country in the 20th century based on these very topics. Their game, is Russian influence in Ukraine to attempt to steal Ukraine. Because of a pipeline and financial influence in neighboring Europe. So, the rest of the world. Particularly, the U.S. Doesn’t get too involved. Rather than a full blown war to steal Ukraine. But, Ukraine doesn’t want their influence. A similar situation, in Hong Kong.
I believe, all of the world’s powers. Are prepping and preparing for these changes. Trying to beat one another to the punch. Everyone will resort to playing games to beat one another there. North Korea, has to shoot missiles off in the sky every few months. Hoping to steal their piece of the pie, lol Sad part is, common people pay the price tags.
