My 3 test passes were 10.02, 10.09, 10.13. I dialed 10.05 for the first round and ran 10.11. That was all she wrote today, live and learn. Will try it again tomorrow!

Why the big spread in ET's ? Were you testing or did the air change that much?

Air changed maybe a hundred or 200 feet at most. It was a test run and rear tire pressure increase of 1LB for the 10.02 run. I can only think that the good run must of had to be wind related. Running the hemi scoop hood again so feeling that out too. Tomorrow will get at it again, sure loving the ladder bars! It just damn works every time.

I'm a fan of ladders over CT's.....especially if the car is nose heavy but will always use ladders if I'm building a new car. The only reason to go with CT's is if the rules don't allow ladders.
 
With that light the car is secondary.

You will be fine get tires right. Your still running low 10 mark and the 60 looking good.

Heck Mike, I'd welcome a .007 or .008 any day, all day, then you pull up next to someone that pounds a .002 or .003 and they run their number. Next weekend! :cursin:

3 grouped with-in .019 is pretty good. In my book I've learned you never win with a red. I take that grouping all day, just need to move it about .015 slower. Small rpm change at the hit should do it.

Today was a short day. Out in first round due to red again. I'm seeing the 3rd yellow completely too before letting the button go. It was a .030 red too. Damn. I'm getting as consistent with my reds as the car is with the ladders now..lol.

I use the just-in-time Tbrake button and I'm thinking that the spring that I'm using may be too quick now for the ladder bar upgrade. I have softer springs and a chart so will figure out.

Anyways, on my race I dialed 10.11 and ran a 10.12. Lots of wind today again and you sure can feel that wind on the top end.. A picture of my red light race.
This damn racing is tougher than a guy thinks.. Red lights have me PO'd and that's getting fixed next!

Doug I have the dial type 2 step, the lowest launch setting is 3000, that's where I'm leaving at. I'm going to slow the button down first. I should have done that already.. When I try to slow me down I slow way down..
Today though I did launch at 3200 in a test run. Just that 200 increase was noticeable on the wheelie. Still a 134 60 though.

LOL yeah if I hadn’t had to switch my tires from radial to my back up bias, it may have been a different story for me yesterday. Twice in the final this year and twice a runner up. Loosing to a Mopar isn’t the end of the world though.
Today I went red in third round on a guy I have yet to beat. I’m 0-2 with him. I’ll get him though someday.

Winning a drag race, to me, is like bowling a 300 game. Anyone who has done either, if they're honest, will admit there's some luck involved.
I won a couple races, and shot a couple 300s, and there was LOTS of luck involved! Lol.

Of course there is luck involved in either venture, depends on the roll of the pins not too mention oil travel on the lanes. Like you I've won many races thru the years and probably bowled a few thousand games, with a 214 average.

I just shot 744 sunday in vegas in a pro-am, lotta fun. Wont get even a sniff of any prize money. (Wasn't gonna mention, it was no-tap, lol).
