Time to hit the Track.

Just paint them different colors all fixed. Good luck on the upcoming race need to see some great racing. I know your itching to get it done. How's the hand all healed up
---
Yes Bearman, I'm 99% healed up, all good. Now if I could just get a cortisone shot for this trigger thumb.. clicks and locks up like a bugger.. went to the doctor about it. They said, you got to see a plastic surgeon for that. WTF.. So I said no, I just want a costisone shot! Well, seems that the Plastic surgeons got the hand card. Any hand related stuff goes to them.. does that make sense???
So. I said Doctor, then set me up with one. Ok fine. I get a letter a few days later from a Plastic Surgeon. It says that they will be setting up an appt with me but to be advised that there is between a 1 to 18 month wait... WTF! Thumb ain't getting better anytime soon!

Great health care did you tell him my season will be over by the time he gets to see you. I should have gotten into that racket. I have the same type of issue with one of my knees. Doc says I can see you in a couple months but while your waiting take these pills. I told him no thanks I'll put up with the pain.

When you finally get to see the doc tell him if you ever need car worked on you could maybe look at it in a couple of years. Or just go buy a new one if they can fit him in.lol health care is b s .

Malex ,
you could use a digital/electronic relay . Has no points so no wear issue . They also have a led to show power . I run them on my car .
They are more expensive but they are 50A or 100A so better load carrying than the Bosch 30A . A lot better for fans especially with their high amp pull on start up

That's got to be a better way. Do you know if they use the same plug as the Bosch type?

This is the medical program that Bernie Sanders raves about..lol.

I do believe all relays the little square black ones are all the same connector.

Solid state relays might be a good choice due to car vibration, but make sure they are rated higher than the load amp rating (5 to 10×) to account for inductive inrush current from electric fans, etc. SSRs do fail and seem to usually fail ON.

Well guys, the final race weekend of the season is here. 2 days of racing and a rain out to make up. Hoping to notice a difference with the new fuel system and will try to keep the red light off.

About 75 passes on these 29 X 12 Hoosiers. 6/32 & 7/32" hole depth still. Hope they do the job both days. Weather looks promising too.

Blair, a good long time friend of mine grabbed this photo last time out. Looking forward to some good 60's this weekend. I need to get a copy of this pic for the wall!

I see that the steel hood is holding the front end down lol.

A first day wrapped up. Went pretty well! Car was strong and the improved fuel system sure showed up right off the launch and all the way through.

No red lights, Plymouth ran between 10.02 and 10.06 all day long at 132, 133 MPH. Went 3 rounds before breaking out with a 10.03 on my dialed 10.05.. I was racing a fellow (Wooks Buddy) who dialed 9.25. It was in the bag for me, I was coasting, then on the brakes crossing the stripe with 1.5 open and doesn't his win light come on, I was like WTF.. So that was that, was likely a 10.0 or quicker pass for me, had I stay in it. All else was great other than I'm getting too much air and coming down harder, the oil pan took a shot too I noticed, so I've got to tame it down now.
The make-up race was cancelled after a car totally destroyed itself along with the track, major oil down, late in the day so it was called. Apparently the 9.0 car barrel rolled 8 times, caught fire and the driver took some pretty good bumps, got out ok.

This race is against a best buddy, I painted this Camaro back in 1999 and today we got matched up in the first round. Sorry Pete, thems the breaks...

Tomorrow is another day.

Good seeing you this weekend. Glad the car is getting sorted out. Cheers.

Well a pretty good weekend over all, the 64 ran pretty good. Ran in the 10.0's all weekend. My 60's started going away today and I expect that to be the Hoosiers. They've got 83 passes on them now. Started out with a 1.33 60' and slid back from there into the 140's. I look forward to the day when I can come here and say I WON! Like DVW, Wooks, Lemon Wedge, Mr. Gaines, and others do. LOL. Hopefully next season.
And a plug to Wooks, he finished up the season in 2nd place for points. Wooks is a very dedicated racer and works hard at it and makes it happen.

Next year in May, my Pit crew Manager turns 13, and he's got big plans for Junior Street! Not sure what those plans are and I sure hope he's not eyeing up the tow vehicle...
