Sorry but I’m a bann the breed proponent. I hear too many of these stories and would NEVER take the chance of having one around my children. I never wonder when I see them all chained up or have chain choke collars on them. Figure there must be a reason. Wouldn’t take the chance. Don’t even like to walk by one myself.

I'm one that hates the whole "viscous breed" label but have to agree, while I'm sure there's plenty of good ones out there they seem to have more cases of not just biting but killing people. Having had plenty of Rotts I get how Pitbull owners feel, I had 4 terrific Rotts but they were supposedly viscous?

We’ve been to local dog rescues to adopt dogs many times. Each time we go, plenty bark as we approach their cages; most wag their tails and showing affection.

Every time we go, 2/3 of the pit bulls have eyes half rolled back in their heads as they go into blind rage attacking the cage as we approach.

Over the past 15 years, it has always been the pit bulls.

Now, I guess you could say all the pit bulls had terrible owners? I guess you’d also have to say that the other hundreds of dogs all had great owners... who abandoned them all.

Sorry guys, I don’t inately trust any dog breed, but pit bulls don’t ever go near my kids.

And I’ll just add that we are dog lovers and have rescued several dogs.
