Hi
Is ther anyone here running a turbo setup on a bigblock? I have some trouble with my ignition setup.. I run a .060 over 400 bb with a almost stock cam and heads. I have a compression preassure of around 140psi on all cylinders.... I run today a MSD 6AL2 programmable box.. So my question is to you guys is do anyone know a "safe" ignition on boost? I plan to run around 14psi of boost... today i run 10psi but i´ve just set up the ignition to 23 degrees@ 10 psi of boost and i guess i can go with a bit more igition... But it´s hard to hear if the engine pings on boost ´cause of the WG screaming like hell....

Thats why ya gotta read them plugs. Goggle "plug reading 101" by mike canter.

Boost will make WAY more power than adding timing, be conservative. my bet is you will gain very little adding more at 14 psi. We don' t run much with a small block at 16psi, 21-22 with E85. You can run normal N/A numbers off boost if you chose. Just make sure it pulls it on boost.
