Got the scoop made today. Tomorrow or Monday I'll put it in then work on the other two holes.
A volkswagon with a radiator? I thought these were air cooled?Got the scoop secured today. The area where the rear seat goes, you can see the hooks for it, is where I plan on taking out the two 2" round sleeves and making up a couple of oval ones to put in. With the butt portion of the seat in, plus there is some sort of vertical panel just in front of it, I can make this a fresh air intake box to help feed the air into the radiator which will be on the other side. There are also two air intake ducts that go on the outside of the quarters. These will get split on the back side so one portion feeds the radiator also and the other blows across the engine. I will try to seal off the intake side of the radiator as much as possible to aid the airflow through it. I don't want to only rely on the fans to keep the engine cool.

I spent 11 hours at work and the phone rang twice all day.... days like this just drain more than if i'm slammed with work.. i have a bunch of little stuff to do like bleeding brakes and setting up my dist. properly.. trunk tools... all those little things..I only put in about 4-6 hours a day on the project. Time spent on it or mine depends on how much time I have after doing the usual homeowner stuff. I also don't work past 4pm. Keep the noise down for the neighbors. Temps currently in the high 50's, low 60's.
wow.. i had seen those but didn't know bout thisLook into these babies. Really cool and will do all classifications. elementfire.com
wow.. thanks a ton.. i think i could keep 1 or 2 in my glove box even..These things are really neat. Two different sizes. No harmful residue left behind, no toxic gas either. Strike them like a flare and go for it. One use only but no need for recertification, refill etc which can get quite pricey. Plus they do all classifications unlike many of the others. The size of a road flare, so space taken up is a non issue.
yeah.. $89 is way more palatable than 200... plus smallerHave one in the house on the side of the fridge and one in my garage. When the time comes, I'll get one each for the cars.
