Valve Train Issues

Did they come in little “4 packs”?

Did it happen to have a country of origin on the box?

The reason I ask is, I recently saw some Sealed Power Chevy lifters that were made outside the US.
Maybe made in China? I wouldn't be surprised. Everything else is made there nowadays.

They were in single boxes, half of them were from melling the others from sealed power actually. Theyre exactly the same, same part number even. Both boxes say made in America. I assume Johnson lifter probably makes them both or something, I don't know .

Car is back together and running great, thanks for all the help.

So all you did was change from Comp Lifters to Sealed Power ?

Did you change the Camshaft also or just lifters ?

Yes I just changed lifters. I had one lifter that was going flat and three that wouldn't pump up from comp. I rolled the dice and reused the cam. I'll pry pull the intake off and look things over after a few hundred miles.

I thought there was an issue with the cam bearings as well??

There were some shavings on one bearing and two that were shined up, not quite as bad as it initially appeared. I cleaned them off and primed it with the cam out. They all have oil, the cam spins good by hand. Not really sure why it did that. So it was either pull the motor and change them or clean them up and let it ride. I don't think I could have changed them in the car. Ill pry get some flak for that decision, but that's ok.
