Waking up the beast

Good to hear Bob.

Junk in the trunk comment reminded me about a time I called a customer to tell her that her car was ready for delivery.
Her response was "I won't be there until after 5:00" I asked her where she'd like me to leave the key. Her "Can you stick it in my gas hole?" AHHHHH....sure!

You should have asked to see a picture of her first!

I was looking at front drag shocks for my car, so I'm looking for opinions. I can't afford to go with the likes of QA1. So, I was looking at Lakewood, Calvert or Competition Engineering which are in my price range. The Calverts are a 90/10 no adjustment. The C/E's are three way adjustable 90/10, 70/30, 50/50. And the Lakewoods are non adjustable in either a 70/30 shock or a 90/10 shock. On paper, I know which one I like, but I'm looking for suggestions based on actually running these shocks. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

I use Calvert 90/10...used comp. eng. before don't see too much difference...if your interested in a used pair of Comp. engineering let me know. I'll bring them to the next race.

Sure, bring them with you, I'll take a look>

Out with Nendra today. I suck! 12.33 and 12.35 qualifying times. Dial in at 12.34. Seemed to make sense to me. Ran a 12.83. Missed a shift. WITH AN AUTOMATIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least I didn't red light. My lightning like reflexes got me a .207 reaction time. A great time was had by all. Especially the ones that raced me.

What changes did you make for this week? Did you swap in those shocks? At least you had that 6AL, the rev limited May have saved your season.

The only thing I did before this race was play with the timing a little and adjusted my rockers. Hopefully, the torque converter and shocks will be in for the next race.

I'm going to go to a test and tune probably next week after the torque converter and front shocks go in. I'm not going to play with the car at all. I'm going to try and get some tree work in.

Here is the result of my first round.

Patiently waiting on track cleanup. An Ahole in a Mitsubishi oiled down the track. Stayed in the groove all the way down. Blew it up on the starting line!

hope you get a few runs in. was it crowded?

Empty tonight at Island.I could have made 15 runs if I wanted. The oildown stopped us for 1-1/2 hours. First two passes, no change. 12.35 and 12.37. Mph got up to 113.95. Made two more passes after the cleanup, but spun bad off the line. Packed up and went home.
