I like Tombstone better,
I like Kurt Russell's Wyatt character better, 1st

I like Dennis Quaid's Doc Character in Wyatt better

I do like both movies, the Costner version was longer,
like always...

Big Jake {The Duke} is OK too

McClintock was pretty good sort of funny too...

His last western The Shootist
for the Duke was good 1976 for a more modern version

Hondo was one I really liked growing up...

The Comancheros & Undefeated were both pretty good too...

Cahill US Marshall was another good flick

Clint's Outlaw Jose Wales comes to mind

High Plains drifter & Pale Rider both for his newer flicks

Hang Em' High & Beguiled were really good flicks

Charles Bronson; You Brought Two Too Many..
Once upon a Time in the West uit 1968 van Sergio Leone

Most of the previous suggestions I wholeheartedly agree with.
I'd add any of the Clint Eastwood "spaghetti westerns" were great in their time.

For a modern sort of western, I'd strongly suggest No country for Old Men.
That one may very well be the best movie of any type I've ever seen.
