Washing a car with hard water(well water)

This product is as easy as it gets. Spray on spray off.

I use a California Jelly Blade, made from a soft surgical rubber. It's 30 years old and I have used it on all my cars. It rolls over different angles of the car with ease and leaves little for a fiber cloth to finish. Start at the roof, then windows, hood, trunk and then the sides, front and back. I use it in one hand and a fiber cloth in the other. It will not hurt or scratch the car in any way. My car is always covered, but before covering it after driving it I always use a California broom on it. As I said, I have used it on all my cars and I only use California products as far as drying and dusting because as far as I'm concerned they work the best. I found this, it explains it well and as RC said avoid the hot full sun.......... I do my wheels and tires last.

I don't always cover my cat when put away.Normally just hit it with the Cali duster and spritz with detailer spray. Mothers or Mguires.

I have got to see the video of you hitting your cat with a Cali duster and spritzing with detailer spray...
I'm surprised it hasn't run off to find a better home...

I'm a big fan of almost all McGuire's products,
BUT
I tried their "Waterless Wash&Wax" and at first I was happy with it, BUT I found it was leaving a "greasy" residue, and that was no bueno! Never again! I suspect it was loaded with silicone or some other lubricant substance to prevent scratching.
THIS is what LEFT AN OILY RESIDUE:

Whenever possible, I only use a California duster, and then McGuire's Final Inspection detailer spray. I don't apply the spray in the sun unless I have no choice, and then I only do small areas that I can immediately wipe dry.
I have used the Ryobi battery powered random orbital buffer to apply wax and remove it.

Dri Wash has been mentioned. Good stuff. I like Ultraluster. Www.ultraluster.com It leaves no white spots like dri wash can.

Those products have emulsifiers and lubricants to protect the surface when cleaning. Like anything they are not a total use it on everything. Mud and road salt are two no no’s

Ask anyone with a cool black Harley that's faded from the sun yet is never in the sun how that happened. The answer is every time you wash, dry, polish and buff your paint you put minute scratches in the paint if not done properly. Above all, Never use a sponge or a chamois! IMHO thats is.

He's using those for tp.

If your water is hard maybe you should allow it to thaw first.

Here's how I dry. Try it, it works...
Eagle 1 wax-as-u-dry spray wax...
Use a new microfiber cloth imetiately after final rinse.
Spray cloth both sides liberally & start drying top to bottom. Wont hurt rubber, chrome or glass. Wring out access as you dry... Once fairly dry, I use another new MF cloth & buff the car down lightly removing any streaks...
Works for every car I own & awsome results. Tried others & nothing compares...

Best method I’ve found is hand dry it immediately after rinsing
yep blow it off, I use compressed air usually
(even a shop-vac can work in a pinch as long as it's not full of dirt in the filter etc.)
get the stuff out of all the nooks & crannies 1st
& hand wipe/dry (or a shammy) the rest off, in the shade preferably

Best ever, and I've been fanatical in my pursuit of the best car care products, but especially spot free washing.

If you have washed your car using HARD water to rinse or just to wipe down, are there any tricks to getting the water spots from forming
I try not to wash the vehicle using hard water so I don't have to worry about things like this! Simple, but it works, and I don't waste money on all those foo foo crap they sell in stores!
