We Have it Pretty Good

I think the hottie sister-in-law ploy is BS. I think you want to retro a 80's car yourself and pinning it on said sister-in-law.
FWIW a grand national would be my choice for that era car. Preferably a GNX! :sign10:

It's funny... I was so obsessed with 70s cars in the 1980s that there really isn't any 80s cars I ever think about. I bought a 73 Road Runner in 80, another in 82, another in 84, another in 88, and my Starsky & Hutch 76 Gran Torino in 1982. The only cars I owned in the 1980s that weren't 70s cars was a 1961 VW bug and a 76 Chevy Chevette that I bought as On-Base Only (OBO) cars while based at NAS Bermuda. OBO cars were old POS's that couldn't pass Bermuda inspection but you were allowed to drive them around on base until they fell apart. So I never really had any gotta-have cars until the 95/97 Ford Police Interceptors that I've owned several of.

What's funny was when I was getting my Road Runner back on the road, this same young lady said she hoped her husband didn't have a mid-life crisis like I was having, and my wife pointed out that I had been driving 73/74 Road Runners since the day she met me in 1982... Once I find something I like, I stick with it... including my wife of 30 years. :)
She definitely sounds like a keeper, Bru. My ol lady tried to pull that "Midlife Crisis" BS on me once. I said "Really? Because I only just now started liking old cars, right? What was it called 25 years ago when we met, or 30 years ago when I was a teenager, or 45 years ago when I was a kid building models and taking my toys apart to see how they worked? Not exactly a new thing, and far from a crisis". Geez, ya either get it, or ya don't.

But I have to say, she has me thinking. I have access to a pretty large building that I could stash 20-30 cars in, and there are a lot of late-80s and 90s Mustangs and Camaros that I can get for a grand or less. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to start snapping some of these up and stashing them away. Sounds crazy, but I thought the same thing about our cars in the 1980s. :)
