I snuck up Cecil County raceway Wednsday evening and got 2 passes on my new combo. Problem was I have an 850 DP on my 493 and it could use more. My first pass felt very lazy and was an 11.27 @ 113 as it was so lazy I lifted. Went back and took the 80's out of the primary side and put 86's in. Got one more pass 11.04 @ 121 but it stil felt lean at the top of the gears. I know it will go easy 10's when I jet the rest of the carb. Still I was happy with an 11.04 on the second pass on it and that driven the 90 mile round trip on pump gas thru a full exh system. Next time out I will be looking for 10.80's at least. Here is the basic combo"
493 (.030 over 440 with 4.15 crank)
Dished pistons for 10.6 comp with my Indy EZ heads.
Custom ground cam thats 264 & 270 @ .050 and .634 lift with my 1.6 rockers.
Indy dual plane intake and the 850 DP.
This is in my 3700 lb 63 with a 727 and a 9.5 Dynamic converter.
4.30's out back and I run 30 x 9 Hoosiers.
Its a real street car as I drive it everywhere including to the track.
