What’s a phrase that your parents used years ago

“Hey, do you want to shut up?”
Uhh, no… I don’t.

where's the change from my smokes, i gave you a dollar, did you buy chocolate bars.

"Bless Bess!!" That's the closest my dad ever came to cussing. He rarely said it, but when he did, we knew he was really pissed.

"kinder fragen mit zucker bestreut."

Basically means "kids asking sugar coated questions", a phrase my dad would use when exasperated by continual nuisance questions by us kids. :)

dont think I wont smack you in front of your friends!! or wherever you may be (k mart) or any place USA...

look it up in the dictionary...
Mom would say this when we asked how to spell a word.
Years later I figured out that it was because Mom was a poor speller. Her advice was a diversion from saying "I don't know".

That one always bothered me whenever I heard it because you kind of have to know at least how to spell part of it in order to look it up.

Fortunately I rarely got that one.

Are you writing a book?
Leave this chapter out!

(after asking too many questions)

My old man would ask my brothers and myself....
( What one of you dumb fckers has the brain today ? )

when I was nosy... do your feet fit on a limb.....what are you an owl..
