What’s your favorite sandwich meat

I love a crispy chicken breast in my sandwich. It should have lettuce, tomato, white onion, and cheese on it. The sauce has to be a honey mustard mayonnaise.

I remember a kid in school nicknamed "hoagie" ........kids can be cruel

They almost went out of business after I graduated...their sales plummeted!!!
did the devil ham and spam back in the army days along with those little Vienna sausages

all these years peanut butter jelly and mayonnaise, pickles then either dutch loaf or pimiento loaf all with either mayonnaise or miracle whip

I had to re read this....... for clarification, is this all on one sandwich?

if not, where does the first one end?

Time could get lean back in Mo. We had lots of laying hens. Fried egg with cheese sandwich with some bacon or a thin slice of real ham, was pretty good for supper many nites!

I grew up near Pittsburgh and we called them Hoagies too.
It's funny how it is such a local word. If you use the word "Hoagie" you are probably within 200 miles or so of Philadelphia.

Around here, getting a Wawa Hoagie is the best for many people! Wawa is a local convenience store, like a 7-11 type store, now more frequently also selling gas.

For others: If you are ever visiting the area and have never been here, try a Wawa Hoagie (submarine). I'm sure you'll like them!

Everyone here is going to die of a heart attack with a full stomach. LOL.

Many years ago (late '90s), our USAF crew was transiting through Philly on a civiliian airliner, on out way to Saudi. One of the guys was from Philly, and told us about a sandwich shop five minutes from the airport that had the best Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches on the planet. We have a six-hour layover, hell, yeah, let's eat! He phoned the shop and made an order for forty sandwiches. The guy asked if we wanted them delivered...sure, saves us cab fare! Got the money from everyone, guy delivers at the airport where two of our guys are waiting for him (delivery guy got a BIG tip!), and we proceeded to eat like kings, Philly Cheesesteak-style. I'd never had a true PCS sandwich before, and I tell ya, I became a HUGE fan of them then!

Time being what it is, I have no idea what the name of the shop was. I wish I did, because I'd give it a long-due shout-out for the absolutely best sandwich I had ever had, to that point.

As did a lot of us Snake. When transiting some bases and we stayed on base in billeting, they had a small snack bar in the rooms. Sometimes nothing was open for a decent meal so the sausages and Spam in the can were on the menu. Funny what one can do with those 2 items isn't it? But now knowing what they are made of and being processed, I avoid that kind of food pretty much all the time...cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

Some of these comfort food concoctions we ate years ago reminded me of some things I would do.
I would heat up a can of corned beef hash and put it on lightly toasted bread, really good!
My pollock grandmother taught me this and I guess it kind of reminded me a her peirogies, sour cream, a lot of black pepper on a piece of white bread, or I would take left over mashed potatoes and make a sandwich with a little ketchup.
Don't know where I came up with some of these , probably the same place the ketchup and cheese sandwiches do, something easy and cheap...

You know I didn’t recall seeing a pork chop sandwich anywhere... on toast , slice of good cheese and maybe a dash of horseradish mayo and yum!

Use to stuff hot peppers with hash or spem and fry it and make sandickes

Another to stuff green peppers with hash and olives

Fry hash scramble eggs , hot peppers olives and pour stewed tomatoes over it on a pita roll it up sandwich
