Similar to a bologna sandwich with Oreo cookies. And now, to hot dogs. I like them. Don't really care how they got there or what part of a pig's ***, cow's ***, or ground gnat's feces is in it, I like hot dogs. BEEF hot dogs, that is!
I have relatives in the Chicago area. Of course, they swear by Chicago dogs, with the pickle spear and all that. I like a Chicago dog with ketchup. That strokes anyone out from Chicago! I'll send my cousin a pic of a nice, delicious, grilled dog with ketchup. She hates that!
One last thing...here is something I discovered quite by accident at my Dad's restaurant around 1975 or so. We'd grill the hot dogs, never steamed them. I took a hot dog and went to squirt a little ketchup on it and eat it - I really didn't like the bun part, just the dog. I had squirted Hershey's chocolate syrup on it, instead, and took a big bite. Realizing my error, I thought "hey, this isn't half-bad!", and so, I'll grill up a couple of hot dogs occasionally and pour chocolate syrup on them, and eat them, minus a bun or anything else. Surprisingly, this treat has never caught on with my family or friends...I just don't know why!

the secret to East Coast Cheesesteaks and hoagies is the BREAD! No one can make rolls like the NE part of the country!
Peameal bacon & cheddar. Perfect meat to bun ratio.
Peameal is a Canadian thing.

Yes its a brined pork loin coated with cornmeal. Fry it up in slices. Very tender, mild tasting. Its the main meat ingredient for eggs benedict around here.Interesting. Is it pork based?
Sounds good - something to try!!!I agree they are very good but the rolls they make in New Orleans for their PoBoys are fantastic.

Actually it is "Chorizo"...cr8crshr/BillScramble some eggs with grated cheddar and add in cooked Mexican sausage, Chirizmo, OK so I can spell Mexican!
AAAAHHHH!!! The North Kakalaki Slaw Dog!!!cr8crshr/BillOne thing about Carolina that I have really taken a liking to is their style Hot Dogs. All beef dog, mustard, chili and slaw. Mmmmmmmmm
Man it has been a while since I was last there. Damn them Breakfast Burritos are some of the best!!!Best Chorizo is right outside the (east?) gate at Lackland AFB (JBSA) in San Antonio. A little dive right between that gate and the highway, as you go to the old Annex. A breakfast burrito there is one of the most amazing examples of Mexican food you'll ever experience without crossing the border.
I love this picture!
