Worked on the '69 Coronet convertible all weekend. The prior week, installed new 3.54:1 gears in the Dana 60, and waited for a diff cap stud kit and plain steel rear cover (not shipped, discontinued item), so I bought a cheap chrome cover. So, I got the studs installed, cover, filled with gear oil (one item done.)
Next, Removed the super turbo mufflers and installed huge (I think 29" long) Walker Quiet Flow mufflers. To get the mufflers to sit back to where the floor kicks up, and to make removing the exhaust easier, I cut the muffler outlet to about 1" from the case and welded a collector flange to the muffler outlet. Then cut the TTI tail pipe right at the bend, and welded another collector flange on there. Then I welded all the connections in the TTI "X" crossover exhaust system. (second item checked off.) Installed the driveshaft and fuel tank back in the car. Then I started laying out the fuel system, trying to figure where to put the external EFI fuel pump, 100 micron pre-filter and 10 micron post pump filter.

Went out with the Fuel **** crew on Saturday night for a few street digs and came out on top 
Unfortunately, not 500 feet from my shop, the fuel pump gave up
The motor was fine, but the key shaft snapped on the inside of the vane, so even if I got a new vane kit, it still wouldn't work :head_smack:
The good news is that my local speed shop had a spare pump on hand and let me swap it out free of charge, so she's back on the road again
I say temporary because I had a big Mallory 250 in there that needed to be rebuilt, so I threw in one of these until it was done, but my lazy arse never got around to sending it out

Winter is still raging here but I needed to do something car related. The car had a brutal rattle can paint job on the grill with runs and bubbles etc. I went to napa and they recommended a product that worked like a charm.Used a toothbrush ( my wife's ... she is away for the weekend ) and Mr Clean white sponges then rinsed in warm water .Chrome underneath the paint is in great shape.

Went to Home depot and picked up some 4" PVC, a cap end and a screw on end so I can soak the Harlan Sharpe rockers in oil before installing them.

Finally got the freeze plug in the Satellite!
My withdrawal has gotten pretty severe.
Fortunately I got the stepside drivable, but that can't go out of the neighborhood.
A friend suggested leaving the brass plug in the freezer overnight.
Not sure if that helped, as it acted just like it had been, until I was ready to give up and said-
"one more time, and I'm outta here", and it went right in to almost perfect depth with one hit!
Also scored a new shop item after my meeting with member Bruzilla, where we swaped his 15" rallyes for my E body 8 3/4 setup. I'll post that in the garage section.

1. Ordered Disc Brake Kit from Right Stuff Detailing.
2. Ordered 1-18" Hellwig sway bar
3. Researched front end rebuild kits...(can't decide if I should drop the money for the full PST kit, PST kit + tubular UCA's or just the standard rebuild kit)
4. Tried to figure out what the hell is going on with all the play in my steering box and got nowhere...think it's hosed.
5. messed with the timing trying to get the vacuum up to something above 5Hg and ended up with 30 Degrees of timing (still can't figure that one out).

Installed volt gauge in 67 coronet 440 dash it's been a month of off and on work... Tested it and it works sweeping the full range...

I'm ready for summer..nearly.
Oil has been dropped, flushed and changed in the motor. Dropped the oil out of the diff, and refilled, checked the transmission, replaced trans pan gasket, changed the oil. Obviously new filters all round. Greased all the suspension joints. Replaced both exhaust flange gaskets (one had a leak, might as well do both I thought). Checked out my carb, (was going to change to a Holley) found incorrect metering rods in mine compared to what it should have been. So changed them for the correct sized ones. (this was the first time I had a chance to really look over my carb since purchasing the car).
Found that my spark is weak, but I have an Ignitor 3 and the matching coil coming next week, so that will be solved then.
Hunted down why my fuel and temp gauges do not work. Source of the problem is my dash circuit board. I need to order a new one I guess. Looking on ebay now. As all grounds checked out ok, and fuel and temp senders are working at their ends.
Found a blown brake light bulb, replaced it.
Speedo cable had a bad seal at the trans, so I changed it.
All in all a productive end of the week, Friday and Saturday! I am pleased.

Week ago, installed the TTI exhaust pipes. Beautiful!!!
I start the car up to "hear" the tunes. Then discover the LEAKS! Brake and power steering fluids.
Have to replace the power steering box. WHAT A PAIN IN THE OLD HANDS.
Once done, had to spend a day to put everything back on. Header, steering linkage, exhaust pipes, battery box, plugs, and plug wires, and finally the engine mount bolts. Started to take it up and down the driveway, POP, SNAP, CRACK! Missing bolt on the disc brake mount. (Stole it to use on another car). Once bolted on it was more fun to drive up and down the driveway.
Now onto the vinyl top and windshield, yea!!!

I forgot to clean up after myself. Notice my tool box is a red and white shoe box under front right tire. The rebuilt 727 is bolted into the 1973 Charger SE and awaiting it's new spedo cable and fluid. FWD PROGRESS!!
