What did you do to your Mopar today?

Snake eater, your comment made me remember my dad and laugh. It's totally off topic, but any time someone would ask him how he was doing he'd tell them "I'm holding my own. Because I can't get anybody else to hold it for me." :D

Congrats on the win in any event!!!

I call it getting up there in years, Please don't do that! I plan on holding things up until my breathing privileges are taken away, got to keep on keepin on as the song gos! :)

Just spent 3 hours washing and detailing my 2013 Daytona. Nothing like Zaino products! Soon as I get my GTX home I will spend a weekend getting it all shiney!!!

Bypassed the ballast resistor on my ignition, but still wanted to keep it for aesthetics, so I soldered in a piece of wire, then sealed it with hot glue.

Also relocated the ignition coil to the fender cause I never really liked the stock location

Been working on the stepside a LOT.
Put on rust-free hood and inside release.
Replaced caliper, repaired lighting circuits, installed mirrors.
Almost ready for street driving more than around the block.

Scored the following from the U-pull over the weekend:

Complete RB electronic ignition kit including harness and "made in USA" brain that still has all it's goo

B/RB 4 BBL throttle bracket

License light for truck/van

7" headlight

Dash circuit board with pins (for 73 rallye dash conversion harness)

$30 for all

Also purchased both fenders for truck and a super nice set of Plymouth Acclaim front seats in blue.

I've taken some stuff of the front end. Does anyone know how much a 67 Coronet weighs without the driver and with a big block and auto trans. I need to lighten it up some.

dirty job

I have been under the rear of my 64 Dodge Polara scraping away 50years of nasty Florida road junk (and old undercoating) so that I can get that end of the car looking as good as the other 2/3's. The inside of the trunk is all repaired and spackle-painted. I must say...it looks pretty good. Once that is done its on to stripping the body for primer and body work.

nice idea. keep it looking Mopar.

Slapped a new Firecore distributor on, timing holds nice and steady now (it was jumping around quite a bit before).

after 2 years of sitting covered in the garage, the Daytona still runs...got it out today and put half a tank of gas in it...took our Corgis on a quick freeway run.....

it still lives

Me and the 'Ole '65 had parade duty today for the dedication of the new suspension bridges on IH35 in Waco. Always looking for an opportunity to take the cars out, but it's an added bonus any time I can get in the ears of our elected officials. We even ended up on the local news!

The bridges are pretty cool too. Here's a short write-up about the design.

"Two new bridges will provide frontage road crossings over the Brazos River. The bridges are known as Extradosed Bridges, which is a combination of traditional cable-stay and girder construction. This is the first time bridges of this kind were built in Texas - the style was chosen in cooperation with city leaders, as a modern reference to the historic suspension bridge crossing the river near downtown Waco."

Sorry guy's, I keep forgetting that pic's taken on my cell phone post this way and I'm unable to figure out how to remedy the problem ... :BangHead:

My buddy MowPar and I swapped out the carb on my GTX yesterday. A freezing cold morning, but very productive all the same - 2.8 degrees Celsius on the cast metal parts. A new set of plugs as the NGK's were blacker than Al Jolson's chin. Installed my period correct Holley (I say that because some will argue it should be a Carter), and it fired up first try. Just had the carb re-kitted by our local Specialist - he said it is an excellent carb and not to get rid of it. Went for the obligatory test run down the road a few times....much better behaved car now. Idles without the blinding fumes etc.
