What did you do to your Mopar today?

Decided the old "Poly" needed some love, so I treated her to new license plates!

Pretty cool, 69Runner. I don't think I've ever seen a right hand adjustable mirror.

Never seen that either. Can we get some more info on how you did it?

Myself - I took it out for a drive after sitting in the garage all the LONG AND COLD Swedish Winter. I was like a little kid going down the country roads

Yes, the fabled passenger-side adjustable mirror... never saw one myself so I decided to make it.

I took the guts out of a driver side mirror (wish I took a picture of how I modified the inside support because that was the key). I had to grind a little at the base of the support to make it snug. It's easier to understand if you actually have the pieces in front of you; due to the different orientation of the mirrors (driver versus passenger) this minor tweak was necessary. It's all hidden from view now.

The other finicky thing of course was removing the cables from adjuster and getting them back in their correct spot so that up/dn and right/left were correct.

If anyone wants to take a stab at it just PM me, if you took some pictures of the support and sent them to me then we could easily reproduce it.

changed jets in the carb and took a test drive seems to pull a little harder

RE: right hand adjustable mirrors.

66 and 67 Chryslers had them.
They look very similar to 66-70 B body mirrors, but have a smaller ring stepped in on the circumference of the housing.

I did the exact opposite to make a manual driver's side mirror for my 66.

I just finished purchasing the parts that I am going to install in my 1969 Satellite Sport 318-2v.

New 4v with new intake, etc.
Complete brake system front to back, lines, hoses, cylinders and Master
Headers to add to the existing dual exhaust system.
Once these are installed, I will take her to have her trunk floor replaced, body work and Paint are done. After that? Enjoy the ride and the shows.

A friend and i are stripping the brake system from my 69 Sat Sport, as I type this. Yesterday, I took the grille off of it and will be painting the flat black portions of it as soon as I can get it cleaned up and ready for the paint. Then it is onto the new Edelbrock intake and 4V carb.

a-hoy!!

Yes, it's a Sea-body, but she's still my one of my MoPars! :icon_winkle:

my g-friend and I stripped out most of the interior to eliminate the source of the mold stench...

in the process we found not one, but two broadcast sheets!!! one under the front bench and the other under the the backseat! :sSig_wootwoot:

I only took out the one under the front seat. If I would have taken the backseat one out, I probably would have destroyed it.

I checked them out and they both match the Newport! woo-hoo! :hello2:

Installed a used RV-2 forced air induction system with clutch activated bypass.

Actually it's a temporary jig to hold the lines away from the inner fender while I blast and paint.

Also roughed in semi-gloss black on the K frame.

I think I can finally see the downhill side of this project.

Spent forever tearing control arms off and attempting to replace all of it and the torsion bars. Now it's sitting on jackstands without any suspension parts on the left side of the car. Top gear the bed... Life is good

I finally got around to fixing a pesky power steering leak.

I installed the quarter window guides and seal on my 66 chargers pasenger door window.

Sold one today. The '73 Satty went to a good home right here in Texas where she's lived all her life and the new owners grandsons couldn't be happier!

I pulled the gas tank out of my 65 Coronet a few weeks ago. Now I'm working on cleaning off dirt, old undercoating & surface rust from the trunk floor and frame rails. Then I'll get the rest of the gas out and clean up the outside of the tank and decide if I should paint it or clear coat the tank. I was pleasantly surprised that the inside of the tank look very clean and the sending unit looks good too.

I actually got to see mine in person for the first time since last Christmas. The car is in Minnesota and I'm in California. It will be done, done done, by the next time I get up there in September. We had to to take out the steering box (rebuilt a few months ago) And bring it back to the guy that did the work as there was still something awry with it. Reinstalled. Slop is gone. This is the kind of stuff I'm relegated to being an absentee project manager. The car is also being color sanded and buffed this week - Lord will that be a change - it's been so long. Unfortunately my living situation limits what I could do on the car. I live in a CA condo and the association doesn't allow any working on cars. That's why my babe and I live in two different places for now. MN is my home town area. Can't wait til we're reunited again this fall. Still will have the same problem but at least I'll have the car at my place to drive and enjoy again. It's already been a 47 year relationship for those who think my arrangement may be strange. Blah, blah, blah..... I must be looking for sympathy votes.....

Initial body work completed... Now it's time to square up the chassis and get the twist out of it so I can stiffening it up.

Much to the wife's dissatisfaction after two months of owning ole "Buddy Green", I have managed to install headers, dual exhaust, shocks all around, tachometer, sanded/prime/paint wheels and went with dog dish caps. Not planning on doing a whole lot more but enjoy our rides jammin out to Steely Dan & WAR w/the kiddosIMAG00056.jpgIMAG00146.jpg
