What did you do to your Mopar today?

Today I worked on the driver door patch panels then I took my R/T to the local Cruz in. It's been a month since I've taken it out. The feel of the horsepower when I get into it is exciting. I can't wait until it looks as good as it runs. You can see my progress in the members projects and restoration's forum under my R/T project.

I have as of late been upgrading a few things on my '66 Plymouth Satellite project. I removed the Carterbrock 750 carb and in its place installed a new Holly/Demon 750 carb in its place. I also re-curved my electronic MOPAR Distributor with a lighter spring and up-graded from a MOPAR Chrome Box to an FBO set-up. Should improve the overall performance of it as it has not quite been tuned in as I would like...cr8crshr/Tuck

Took fenders off

A little cleaning up and a coat of epoxy... still have more work to do, but at least the bare metal parts are protected now.

Rolled it out of the container (cargo container, temp storage while shop is being built) and into my garage last night.

Maybe I should start a new thread?

Like "What did someone else do to your Mopar today" At this point in life, I do not have a place to work on my car except for maybe small quick things. So I have a buddy working on my car and he is far more knowledgeable and picky than I am, so I am sure his work will be better than what I could do, and he has the room and tools to do the work. Plus, I think he would like to open his own shop at some point, so this is helping him towards that goal....and one more plus....he has an 18 year old Son who is interested in working on Mopars, so he is going to earn a little cash by helping his Dad work on mine. Let me tell you where we are and then you can tell me if I should go start a new thread.

My buddy and son pulled the seats and carpet and found some rust and scale. They sent pics I will share. They also pulled the intake to do some component checking and it needed a new gasket anyway. So far, all looks good inside the engine.

My role so far is to order parts and pay the bills.

block and sand, block and sand, put it on, take it off, put it on, take it off.

Didn't turn any wrenches on it today - but did get the 489 case open rear w/3.55 gears and then bought a rebuilt sure-grip unit to put into it. Also have the SSBC front brake conversion kit sitting in the garage which came in earlier in the week - gotta get taxes done and then start back to work on the R/T.

After the new owner of the Belair loaded her up, I cleaned the garage real pretty like. The went to NAPA and picked up various fluids and small parts. Tomorrow I will bring her home, and fix that leaking shift shaft seal. And what do you know, I found three of them in my tool box, from when I worked at the dealer in the seventies. Sunday, I did order four eight inch steel wheels. Monday I dropped off the rear gear, at the local drive train shop. They called at four o'clock, picking it up tomorrow. New bearing. Have to sand blast the banjo housing, then pull that little integral gear out.
