What did you do to your Mopar today?

finished wiring in an aftermarket cd player and speakers for the ride out to Woodward later today. spray polished it too. Tightened down the passenger door striker/receiver. I was wondering why the door kept making noise when I got on it.:3gears:

Drove the RR to Lowes and to get some coffee. In the Drive Thru, Girl says, " sir can you turn your car off, I can't hear and it's rattling the windows." I say, " No, give me an extra large coffee. " and reved the engine before pulling up. Thank God I got there quick before she put something else in my cup. Think I better find another Dunkin and chill out a little on Saturday morning.

Took the solid motor mounts out of my GTS 340 Convertible and put in the basic rubber ones. That should quiet things down a bit!

Spoke to a guy in California to conform my 69 road runner (not a12 coded) and its new engine (a 69 date coded six pack) will go into the container this week to travel to Australia.
Also bought a road runner restoration guide.

master cylinder finished

I finished the master cylinder and booster and now it's ready to install.

It was such a nice night here in Nor Cal that when I got home from work around 8:30 I had to drop the top on the GTS 340 and take it into town to get an ice cream! It reminded me why I bought the thing in the first place! :hello2:

flushed the cooling system. The thermostat stuck when I went to The Dream Cruise and the temp went up to around 230' it boiled a bunch of rusty **** out of the block that and I had used well water when I initally put it all together. I used distilled water and a half gallon of vinagar twice to flush. got most of it out.
Then filled with distilled water a bottle of Redline Water Wetter and antifreeze.
Also changed the oil and filter. I used Castrol Tection Deisel 15w-40 and a wix filter. i was running valvoline 10w40. It sure sounds better now.
I should be set to crise this weekend in Hines Park.

Bought lots of fabrication parts last night.
Fabbed temp stub bumpers so I could use air-lift to look at leaking freeze plug and change wheel/tire with busted belt.
Header is going to have to come off :( and found another leaker... on other side, behind starter :(
Pulled Charger out into yard to sand blast roof
Measured gas tank in 5th Ave, Interestingly, the straps from Charger fit perfectly on 5th Ave tank...hmmmm Issue now is side fill.
Drove Charger around block again and on 50 MPH road. Trans shifted fine :)
Tested fabbed shop vac recovery for sand blaster- worked fairly well :)
Lessens need for head gear and gloves and recovers 90% of media-stole idea from "bad boy" blasters :)
Got 1 ft sq patch blasted on roof and rain started, ran out of gas trying to put back in garage...lucky to find 1/4 gallon in mower shed...whew!
Charger now starts on first crank :)

Plan was to reassemble Coronet steering linkage, but garage floods in bad rain :(

I've just been watching my garage seeing if the huricane blows it over! Hope not. Listening to the news u would think the world was about to end.

i was able to get both headers off and resiliconed them back in. tightened up my collector bolts. now waiting for the silicone to dry in this 100% humid weather we have now.

pulled the engine and trans in prep for engine compartment cleanup and new combo going in.

That was me a few weeks ago.

Today I test fit the new Lakewood bellhousing and plate. Waiting for the clutch alignment tool to arrive from Mancini on Monday.

took the drivers side header off to get the half crapped out full sized starter out and replaced with a mini starter for a 90's Dakota... also replaced the positive battery cable while I was in there. What a pain in the a$$ too lol

Went ahead and pulled 5th Ave tank today, and it fits perfectly in Charger.
Do I cut and weld filler neck or spend $150 plus shipping on a new tank ??
Also could leave side fill and install flip top gas cap!!

Water line in garage was 5 inches in low areas.
Definately NOT creeper friendly.

A legit GTS convertible is a very rare car indeed!

FYI installed the steering wheel, and touched up some trim panels on the dash of my '70 RR convertible.

Well I decided to fix the dam leaking water pump housing and change the oil for the first time. All I need to do now is get an oil filter.... (I thought I had one).. DOH!!!!
