What did you do to your Mopar today?

9/3
Fiber brushed and sandblasted about 1/3 of the roof on the 73.
Dang that's WORK.
Blasted and painted a rallye wheel.
Test fit 5th Ave gas tank, and it ain't gonna work.
Same dimensions front to back, but too wide by about 2-3 inches.
Drove around the block wit e brake and gas can (again), but this time with no windshield:)
I'm sure the neighbors LOVE me!

9/4
Went to swap meet about 50 miles north.
Bought 20 more chrome lug nuts ($1.25 ea), a remote pass mirror ($20), and a VDO tach ($20).
Saw a 69 Super Bee N96 car needing lower quarters, tail panel, and FULL resto.
Still had air box and scoops. Came with "other" 383/727~~~$3900.
Also saw 65 Impala SS 396 4speed A/C car- now with 427.
Looked like original blue paint, with very minor rust.
No price on that one. NOT a chevy guy at all, but I'd drive that.
68 Barracuda vert 318 in primer 4K IIRC
NICE 68 Barracuda notch in matte black.
Questionable 73/74 Charger "Texas" car with dough in doors WL21C code /6 car with big block and no exhaust manifolds
(cause they DONT fit) ...and freash lime green paint...$too much.

removed radiator, flushed it out several times ... removed water pump, housing ... waiting on new aluminum parts to arrive ! about to replace timing cover seal and front crank seal .....

Took the 62' Plymouth out for a cruise after sitting up for a few weeks. I think I'll need to swap the plugs out before I take her out again. Burned up the old stale fuel and refilled it with some fresh juice. Was hoping to do a local show and cruise in tomorrow but the weather doesn't look to be cooperating.

Spent most of the day waxing, buffing and detailing engine bay on the 08' Charger. Sometimes I forget it's a mopar and deserves some attention too :) I was hoping if I rubbed it hard enough it would turn into a new Chally SRT8.......

9/3 Fabricated some lift off hood stilts from wooden 2x4. I ripped the 2x4's in half, drilled holes for the hood pin studs, located some 4 inch wood screws for the top side, stained the wood with black walnut. The stilts do the job.

Just ordered some buffing and polishing wheels and compounds.. Waiting on the delivery of a power-washer..

pulled heads and replaced head gaskets. two spots getting past fire ring into water jacket

The wife installed the dash pad and the weather strip over the door windows. She did an awesome job!!! If we ever get the ammeter gauge back, she'll be putting the rest of this bad boy together!! WooT!!! Can't wait!

That is killer!! That is a great idea!

Installed restored brake booster and linkage , and all hardware. Also installed new front Emerg brk cable into restored Em brk assy. This week , will install restored dash assy. Steering column and headliner are next.

Cleaned battery terminals up, checked all fluids, put a new inline fuse in for the fuel pump, tightened two loose carb bolts, went for a drive, and then stacked wood listening to tunes emulating from it. Checked on a couple winter project parts.

Ok, just got back from the only weekend I was allowed to enjoy this summer. I've been farting around with this car since February trying to get her roadworthy and finally got it done last Thursday before Labor Day. Took her for around 1100 miles or so. Best part is that I never had a car worth a real burnout. SO, on US 2 in the UP of Michigan somewhere on Early Tuesday morning, I stopped cold in the middle of the highway, in broad daylight, revved to around 5 grand and dropped the new centerforce clutch. Hooked up nicely and left a nice 30 foot dual track with a slight curve. It's 11:30pm and I'm still smiling. What fun!! Tomorrow she is going into the body shop to get torn apart for paint and body work and such. Oh well, such as life. One thing I have had to learn is that patience is key. Cant wait to drop the hammer on the new stroker. HEE HEE!!

Prepped my green 66 Bel for the MoPar drags this coming Sun. Installed a drive shaft loop and diddled with the carb.

Installed a Milodon oil pan in my 64 dodge. The original only has a four quart sump, this one is seven!

Shag wouldn't mind seeing some pics of the cut outs when you get a chance, something I've been thinking about.
