Thanks Dennis, in not using any chemicals, heat gun, scraper and a needle gun. Most of it is pretty saturated so it's not friable, plus I have a fan blowing it away from my face...
Scraped another 5lbs of undercoating yesterday...

I just bought the scaler thinking it would actually better than it has. I works great in those hard to reach knuckle busting areas!!!! It definitely works better on the dry stuff and cleaning the weld seams on the pan.
Heat gun and scraper are actually working pretty well.
Plan on using the Raptor Bedliner ( tintable, blue) and then chassis black the frame , Dana and cage... I know no one will ever look there but I won't be embarrassed if the do!!! Lol!
My father in law thinks I'm crazy, I told him I wasn't the one that just spent $23k on paint and body work...he has since kept those comments to himself!
Thanks for the tip!

I remember once having the ambition and physical ability to clean up the underside of a car...no more !! I'd rather pay to get that done now......................MO

Do tubeular upper A arms allow for more caster adjustment? I can't get more that barely 0 degree out of my stock set up all new componets...........................MO

So Firm Feel claims (along with QA1 and MagnumForce). This is the only reason I'm running them. I'm told the F/M/J spindle has an additional 0.5 degrees of SAI (steering axis inclination) built into it too, which should help it further.

I have the offset bushings in my '69 Valiant - installed properly, I might add - and they barely do the job. Granted, the tires are way too small on that car, and I have done a test where larger tires helped greatly to solve the self-centering. Either way, I've had it with the half measures, and just decided to do things right this time around.

Now, had the steel reproductions been designed for the additional caster, I would have preferred it for the original look. But who can see the UCA's anyway? I'm more than happy to give up this little bit of originality for drivability's sake.

Plus, I've also installed the fast-ratio pitman and idler arms to the car, which makes it all the more important than the steering can center itself correctly.

I pulled out the dash on my 73 Charger, and patiently took a nap dreaming that somebody has some 73-4 fenders they'd sell me.

Well, didn't do any real work to it. But I did drive the heck out of it! Fun day!

Had to make a tool to install the roll pin in my steering box to column joint.

Just drilled out 1/2 the threads in a nut, then jamb nutted it on a bolt.

This created a cupped driver area to hold the pin and allowed me to get a good swing on it without the interference of the puck and heat shield.

Also got the oil pan off and gasket scraped.
Here's a tip- use a plastic grocery bag between your socket and a freshly painted bolt head.
It goes a long way towards not chipping or rubbing the paint off, and doesn't really affect the fit.

Here's something to watch out for- the Mopar brand pan gasket is too long on one end, and the bolt holes don't line up. Both sides were this way. I can imaging folks who don't have the luxury of having the engine upside down, or are in a hurry might be tempted to force it. That might cause the gasket to bunch up- right in that super critical area where the timing cover, block, pan and two different gaskets come together.

Not wanting a space saver spare. I built a wooden box, to support the wood floor cover in the well. Then put tools I thought I might need, on the road inside it. I'll pick up another 15x7 wheel and another 215/50R15 tire, then fabricate an anchor to hold a large carriage bolt, above the hump next to the back seat, to mount the new spare. I have an email into Pirate Jack, about this problem I'm having, with the instillation of their booster. It looks like the bracket, between it and the firewall is to short. Wish me luck on that.

Good Luck.

Solved the booster issue, used the wrong push rod. It just didn't look right the first time I mocked it up. Today I made up new brake lines, between the master and prop valve, and to the front and rear wheels. Found a video off You Tube, on how to bend short radius brake tubing, using a small pulley. Lots of good information to be found there. Put in a new transmission output seal. Tomorrow I'll bleed the brakes. Should be on the road by noon I hope. Got a show to attend Sunday...

I ordered a set of factory correct bucket seats for my 73 Charger on ebay.
