No! The cable is still binding and letting go! Check cable routing, possible sheath melting, use lighter grade lube.Been trying to sort out a spastic speedometer. It started acting up on the second day of the Carlisle show as I was driving to the show. I lubed the cable, replaced the cable, replaced the speedometer pinion, still starts swinging wildly as soon as the indicated speed goes over 50mph. Now, I have to find the energy to pull the cluster and switch the speedometer itself. What a PITA.
I think graphite is usually used......

Not to disagree, but you can use regular wheel bearing grease. It's what I/we used at the dealer for years.
Them're some cactusy looking cacti.I got the new tires/wheels installed yesterday as well as the alignment. Today, I installed the Cop hubcaps. I had heard of people saying that they had issues with hubcaps falling off on the new (powder-coated) wheels from Classic Industries, so before installing the hubcaps I took some medium grit sandpaper and lightly sanded behind the bumps that hold the hubcaps on. This seems to have done the job, because I tried the hubcaps on with no sanding and they seemed to want to pop off. After some driving on this setup, I will let you know if I lose any caps! I like the way it looks and I am open to comments either way.

Have you considered brushed stainless trim rings?
It's a good look.
I would include a photo but my phone force-upgraded itself and it no longer has enough memory to do things like attatch photos.
That had to be hard! That is all I have left after paying for all the work that was done!
