What did you do to your Mopar today?

I put a ground wire from the fuel sending unit stem to the trunk floor on my 72 RR.

View attachment 389820 Try to clean off some of the grease & grime from the front before putting the front suspension back together. Actually started with a plastic scraper I stole from the wifes pampered chef stuff. You can see the original gold color now. I'll grab a scrub brush and simple green next to clean more off. Need to run to my brothers soon to get control arm bushings replaced hopefully blast a bunch of the parts clean and paint them too.

Where's Mike Rowe when you need him?

Picked up the rest of my powder-coated front end parts. I hope to press the bushings back in, tomorrow. I have to buy a bunch of rubber boots and stainless hardware to finish it up.

UPDATE TODAY...Got the bushings back in........now to detail the ball-joints, tie-rod stuff, and idler. I'm gonna buy all new hardware[stainless nylocs] tomorrow.

Still pecking away at this rear passenger quarter panel . . . it's coming along nicely and getting much closer
( the low areas are getting much smaller - that would be a good thing ) YAY . . .

Not knowing what I'm doing but figuring it out . . . slowly . . .

not mine but I've been doing odds and ends on this 68 sport fury ,the owner has owned this car for 48 years now the motor 318 was just rebuilt but the half *** mechanics that did it left alot wrong with her. Holes in fuel lines timing way off car not adjusted lots of bolts left loose . So I decided to help this old man out and make it safe again so got everything listed fixed got to service the rear and he wants to look into a 5 or 6 speed conversion he's in his 80's and he took it out on a test drive after I fixed the fuel leaks and tuned it he had that old girl up at 100mph for about 15-20 miles on the high way ,he scared the living hell out of me . It's OK when I do it but an 80+ year old man in a 49 year old car .anyways I'll be tinkering with this fury for a while getting it up to par .

I likes me a 67/68 Fury, esp a vert.

I can't tell ya how many times I've repainted things that were okay to most people. Have at it.

Gonna do my best to get my seats back in this weekend. Just need to put the dynaliner down and carpet in, seatbelts and gas pedal then hopefully good to go.

Painted some front-end parts for the silver car. They only had 50 miles on them....and I wasn't gonna buy new ones.

Drove the dart around the block today, took me 2 years to get it ready for its maiden voyage. Steering sucks, but it needs an alignment BADLY! Power out the wazoo and the trans (4 speed rebuilt by my buddy) is perfect. The gear drive is one whinny b!tch and has got to go!!

My friend Dave, and I installed about 1/2 the front-end. He'd never done this before, and he helped me remove it, and is now seeing how simple this stuff really is. It's great to have good/helpful friends. I told him when he's ready to do his car...bring it over. We can knock it out in a week. Gotta pick up some boots and ball-joints tomorrow, and try to finish it up. Fresh stuff is so nice in the old girl. I have to order a trans in the next couple weeks, as I'd like to have it DONE in April. The engine has been sitting.

I got my billet aluminum hood hinges by Eddie Motorsports. These are beautiful. Can't wait to install them.

Got the steering column out. Now I'm trying to get the rest of the front-end back in the car. Energy Suspension boots are great for all the greased fittings. Pics to come......

Done for today. Didn't mount the steering box or linkage. I'm also replacing the front calipers. I notice one leaking.

Great looking suspension. I'm getting ready to rebuild the Dart's front end. What paint/finish did you use on the control arms and struts?

Finally had a nice weekend day in NorCal; wifey and I took the cars out for a cruise (she drives the 'Net).

Thank you. It's all powder-coated. My friends at QC Coatings did it.
I just scrolled up to your previous posts about the powder coating. I'm going to have to seriously consider it when doing the Dart....Thanks.
